I know. Almost from day one, all we heard it that it’s illegal. Jean C. from CTV, who I think is a decent reporter, went into a Bahmamian pharmacy and spoke to whoever was working in it. They said they didn’t have it in stock at that time, but could get it as it’s not illegal. Is it illegal to bring in with you from another country or have it shipped in if it is prescribed to you? Maybe so. Maybe it’s only legal there if prescribed there and gotten from a local pharmacy. I’m just not quite clear on that. I’ve seen some Bahamian drug laws floating around the ‘Net, but didn’t pay too much attention.
Those of us not around in 2000 are deemed with suspicion by a good many... so if you stick around here, expect people to mention your join date if you get persnipity. I made the mistake of mentioning Al Gore had a huge crowd in Flagstaff at the train stop and was almost lynched...
There is a great deal that goes on in families that never meets the eye and probably good reason to look at everyone with a little suspicion.
Now, that makes sense... so it means HKS/ANS/Kapoor/Key Pharmacy broke many laws when they shipped methadone from California to the Bahamas.
Thanks, CR. I keep asking myself why I am not in bed. At least, I did remember that he did say “not in his presence.” That part could be true, you know. If he knew she took it, why would he lie about it, since he already testifed to the fact she took it while pregnant? The part about “it may or may not be a narcotic” was about as lawyerly as you could get, and dumb. Agreed.

I definitely have a better understanding of you and your comments, thanks to this particular comment. I believe you must be a very mature and forgiving person to respond as you have. Again, I apologize for anything I may have posted that was incorrect or hurtful (like insinuating that you were related to HKS), and I will not make assumptions about your posts in the future....although, it is possible I may not agree with you in the future, but I feel certain I will be respectful of you and your posts under those circumstances. Please accept my sincerest apologies for any inappropriate comments I may have posted to you tonight. My posts were wrong and were not meant to be directed at you, but were just an example of my frustration regarding this case.

I’ve met some scoundrels. Wouldn’t ever have them for a friend or marry them knowingly. I’m not defending all of Stern’s actions and I already said I don’t like some of the things he did. It’s not OK and our culture and society is terribly screwed up. I simply don’t hate the man and don’t think every single thing he’s ever was horrible. I hope, if he’s not charged and found guilty of a crime, that he changes his life and does some good one day, like I hope for everyone who has messed up in their lives. I detest the lifestyle Anna and he lived and so many others in and out of celebritydom live, but all I can do is raise my own children in a Christian way and live my own life as a Christian, and support the things I belive in and hope it rubs off on somebody else in a positive fashion. I’m not emotionally invested in this case, but I have found it fascinating from a legal point of view, and also because I enjoy mysteries. To me, there are fewer mysteries in this case than I’d initially thought, but there are certainly some and I’d like the answers one day.
OK...now I apologize to you. I never meant to make it sound like I had more life experience than anyone, and I really like everyone here. So please know that I truly appreciate all of the life experiences everyone here has gone through, and how it helps each of you (us, I hope in the future) to give your opinions and come to your own conclusions regarding everything in your life (not just ANS stuff!!). So, AC, I apologize to you as well, and appreciate that you made a point to ‘put me in my place’...Thank you, and I sincerely meaning it!

AND....don’t forget...she’s convinced that he murdered both her daughter and grandson...I can’t imagine any one of us not wanting to rid the evil HKS from ANYTHING further pertaining to this matter, even if it meant taking it all from him by stepping up to the plate and asking for those rights/priveleges for ourselves...and I’ll betcha LB agrees.

Problem with that statement (aside from the fact that he changed it up, mid sentence to cover his azz) is HKS has also stated he is the sole caretaker for Anna. Hard to believe that he would oversee administration of all of her medications, EXCEPT that huge bottle of methadone in the fridge. IMO, he is a liar.
Which we’ll know if we read those drug laws. You up for it? I’m not, hehe. Not just now.
Yeah, I know. Unless he was about to say “during my presence.” From what we’ve heard, I do think he doled out her meds for the most part,or at least tried to, but I also think Anna partook by herself plenty of times over the years. And, HKS wasn’t with her all the time. He did NOT want to get into Anna’s drug use in the FL hearing, for sure.
Wow...what a great place to visit...I took a cruise and my sister planned an excursion in Jamaica to, IIRC, some banana farm/plantation or maybe it was climbing the falls (my memory is very poor). Would visiting Rosehall have been an option, you think?
Thanks kcw. Same to you. Overall, there hasn’t been too much persnicketiness on these threads, but there has been a little, now and then. I wasn’t thought too kindly of when I had a different perception/view of the infamous clown video than others, and left for a bit. We’ve all been influenced by the media and our own life experiences in the ANS saga, and it seems so long and drawn out we’re all anxious for resolution. I do like Larry and want him to get on with his life with DL. I want the inquest and any other investigations to get under way and over, I have lots of questions I’d like answered. I still want much more of the story, from all sides, to come out before I decide my final opinions. One thing is for sure: Anna Nicole is a great lesson in how to not live your life, and the whole blasted thing is sad.

I’m not sure how to word it, you seem to be missing my point....you say that the judge isn’t hearing anything between Larry and HKS, that it’s between Virgie and Larry...but you’ve left out the possiblity that it’s all between HKS and Virgie, not LB and Virgie. Larry was happy about yesterday’s proceedings...and you’re correct, HKS has stated that he is not asking for custody...my point is...while he may not be, he MAY be interferring and preventing Virgie from getting visitation, which LB has no problem giving her.
As re: O’Quinn’s ‘demands’ on behalf of Virgie...I take his full ‘demands’ with a grain of salt. He is, as any lawyer would do, going to continue to ask for anything, including the moon, knowing full well she will settle for visitation, which I believe LB understands and is willing for her to have. Problem is, imo, it is HKS, not LB, who won’t even give her that. IMO O’Quinn isn’t there to fight LB, he’s there to fight HKS.
Eventually, if the court wants this resolved, they are going to have to remove HKS from any and all standing in these custody proceedings so that his interference will stop preventing LB and Virgie from proceeding with an already agreed upon visitation agreement and LB can take DL home.
