Howard's attorneys consistantly tried to pull "privileged info" out of O'Quinn during that deposition. I'm sure this will follow the same pattern.

These aren't really pictures of her dead, I don't think but most likely of her overdosing in the Bahamas and someone grabbed a camera and took pictures instead of helping her.
On that note, now that I am sick, I think I’ll go to bed and forget seeing those pictures.
One last thought, whoever took those pictures is one sick puppy and needs to be off the street. IMO.

ATLANTA - Howard K. Stern filed a $60 million libel lawsuit Tuesday against Rita Cosby and her publisher over a book she wrote that claims Stern and Smith’s ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, had a sexual encounter.
The suit, filed in federal court in New York, seeks $10 million in compensatory damages and $50 million in punitive damages from Cosby, the former MSNBC host who wrote “Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith’s Death” - and Hachette Book Group USA Inc.
The book, which came out last month, claims that besides the alleged encounter, Birkhead and Stern both worked together after Smith’s death to manipulate the media and maximize profits.
Smith died of an accidental drug overdose in Florida in February at age 39. Stern, Smith’s laywer and companion, initially claimed to have fathered Smith’s young daughter, Dannielynn, but Birkhead eventually showed he was the father. The baby could inherit millions from the estate of Smith’s late husband, Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II.
Stern’s lawsuit says that the book falsely accuses Stern of, among other things, criminal lewd acts, homosexual acts, illegal possession and use of cocaine, conspiring to commit murder and kidnapping for ransom.
“Defendants have exploited Ms. Smith’s life and death by publishing false and defamatory factual accusations against” Stern, according to the 65-page lawsuit filed by Atlanta lawyer Lin Wood.
“Blonde Ambition purports to be a ‘tell-all’ book, but it can only be accurately described as a ‘tell-all-lies’ book,” Wood said in statement Tuesday.
A spokesman for Cosby declined to comment to The Associated Press and referred calls to a spokesman for the book’s publisher. That spokesman, Evan Boorstyn, did not immediately return a call Tuesday seeking comment.
Both Birkhead and Stern, Smith’s longtime attorney and companion, had threatened to sue soon after the book was published.
An attorney for Birkhead, M.L. Trope, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that “it’s just a matter of time” before his client files a libel suit of his own. He did not say when that would be filed.
Birkhead acknowledged meeting with Cosby several times after Smith’s death in February. But he flatly denied that he and Stern ever shared a sexual tryst.
Cosby, a former MSNBC correspondent, claimed there is a videotape of the alleged encounter and that one of Smith’s former employees had seen the former Playboy Playmate watching it. But Birkhead has said no tape could exist because the encounter did not occur.
Birkhead also has denied the book’s claim that he and Stern made a “secret deal” about finances and the custody of Dannielynn.

As far as a "secret deal"...Gee, a half intelligent person could figure that out. Who the hell would want a person near that baby who "according to Larry himself" fed Anna drugs AND more...to act in Dannielynn's behalf financially.
Of course, as I've said before, everything Howard does smells of "blackmail"...with all his little videos. Of course Larry's going to agree with Howard...It COULD in the realm of things effect the custody of Dannielynn.
There may be nothing wrong with being a homosexual (???), but there is something wrong with blackmailing somebody because of it.
I belive the suit is just to find out "what does Rita have?".
In the interest of group sanity - I hope the lawsuit does go to a jury trial - like the O.J. civil case - in front of 12 normal people and not another Larry Seidlin.
My hope is that Rita’s atty can depose KE, FS, GBT and all of the people who were around Daniel in the last months of his life. Their testimony might be *hearsay* - but (correct me if I’m wrong)while hearsay is not permissable in criminal cases, it is allowed in civil trials.
What I want to see is documentation of the total mental and physical control that the *lawyer* & *psychiatrist* exerted on a Southern Baptist 8th grade dropout with emotional and drug addiction problems - for their own motives....and their diabolical activities to be exposed.

I agree! No settlement expected from Rita - and as the only gutsy *investigative reporter* she should be commended for starting the fire!
We can only hope that the feet of *officials* such as Seidlin, Perper, Tiger et al., will be held to the fire! Their actions and attitudes were at least negligent, at worst biased.

It’s about time Virgie file a *Protection Order* on behalf of Dannielynn.
Since being awarded custody, Brikhead has exposed that infant to the influences of precisely the same 2 individuals who were present at the deaths of Daniel and Anna. Without having to prove them guilty of aggravated murder, Virgie can show KE was guilty of malpractice and negligence in her medical supervision of & drug prescribing to Anna.
It should be enough to force Brikhead to KEEP KE &HK$ AWAY FROM THAT INFANT!!!!!!!!!

i disagree that King is ‘nobody’ - he’s a (paid) “special counselor” to the govt (or some such nonsense title). In addition, since he’s run the regattas for 40 years, while he’s been playing band, he’s made a LOT of very wealthy friends in high places...

Days after Chief Coroner Linda Virgill gave an impromptu press conference, at which she labeled Daniel’s death suspicious and announced that she would hold an inquest beginning October 23, Chief Justice Sir Burton Hall issued a directive stripping Mrs. Virgill of the exclusive designation of coroner and reverting to the pre-1993 practice of having all magistrates in the pool hearing coroners’ matters. The Journal can confirm that this practice has not yet begun.
Magistrate Virgill has remained tight-lipped about the whole affair, but we have confirmed that she continues to hear coroner’s cases on a daily basis in the same manner as she did before Sir Burton’s ruling.

I’m thinking that Howie will withdraw his filing and hope the whole *gay* issue fades away. There are so many more claims in the book that would *maybe* go away too - money laundering, Rx abuse, blackmail, bribery, kidnapping, unethical practices, conflict of interest, stealing, squatting, forging Anna’s signature on checks. The list is endless.

I’m not sure if it can qualify as an accusation by Callenders, but they did make a leading statement early on.... (followed by Opri’s statement in Court Feb 21st). I would speculate that perhaps [the Shelleys] found some cancelled checks to specific accounts in the things they took from the house? (don’t know if we can speculate that Callenders assisted in setting up any accounts yet):
