They were showing clips of hks, lb,VA, the crying judge etc. Showed hks saying he was Dannielynn’s father, and they put a big X on that.

Tony Potts was on and said that he didn’t know why LB invited hks to the party. If it were him he would keep Howard Stern as far away as possible half way around the world.

Larry is best buds with Howard. Should the inquest in the Bahamas produce some results which implicates Howard, Larry's judgement as protector of that child comes into question. "I never thought" becomes insufficient.

I don't think Larry has very good instincts....and he's now very, very rich.

Yes, he's the dad. Yes, she's being cared for. But is it for the wrong reason?? i.e., if this baby was a poor unknown, would he have stepped forward? I don't think so.

Debra Opri should join a prosecutor’s office and apply her talents to convicting the crooks, criminals and con artists who have refused to pay her.

Not a bad idea Sod. I think they tried to prejudice us against her early on with the Michael Jackson Case. I admit it left me with a first bad impression but so much goes on behind closed doors.

I do think that O'Quinn might just want this to stay alive and this is HOW he "planned" to do it. I'm still trying to figure out how he "damaged" Howard. Geez...Statistically, those two deaths AT THOSE PARTICULAR times and UNDER THOSE PARTICULAR CIRCUMSTANCES raise red flags.

You have to think about "What a difference a day makes".

One day later and Danny would have visited his mom and the baby at the Horizons.

One day later, and Anna would have been back at the Horizons rather than Florida.

The Horizons was critical to all this and I think the so called robbery of her stuff was indeed "Anna's Wishes". I really do think that Anna heard KE and Howard talking and told Thompson to grab the stuff.

“”””I really do think that Anna heard KE and Howard talking ..””

At some point before, and certainly after Daniel’s death, Anna must have surveyed the circumstances of her life. She was being heavily drugged, isolated from everyone she had ever known, except for HK$’ handpicked lackeys -she was not getting phone calls or even making them, . It must have occurred to her that her life decisions were being totally controlled by HK$ & KE. As speculated on this thread, “Who decided she should leave Dannielynn in the Bahamas? or was DL left?” DL did not have a passport until the custody decision - she would have had to travel on Anna’s passport or Howard’s based on the phony birth certificate. Keeping Dannielynn in the Bahamas was crucial to a lot of subsequent court decisions; burial, Horizons, estate etc.,

It’s hard to believe that in her alleged poor health, Anna was *allowed* to go to Florida - unless she was expected to splash off the Cracker in international waters. So many unanswered questions.

Just seems to be too much planning to these deaths. KE leaving the NIGHT before Anna dies?? And from Florida??

I could see a "coincidence" if she left from the Bahamas...while Anna was in Florida. KE knew these meds like the back of her hand. Howard didn't...not to the extent that KE did.

Tooooo many coincidences and then there's the element of TIME. It's called PLANNING. Very typical in the world of Attorneys.

I think the phone calls alone would raise a lot of eyebrows just a bit higher.

Yes, she should.

IMHO, if Larry Birkhead loved Dannielynn, he would not allow Howard Stern anywhere near her. In Howie's sister's words: "Over our dead body"

If something did happen to Dannielynn, would Larry get Anna Nicole's entire estate?

Way, way too many coincidences. It doesn't make sense.

I am trying to think of somebody to contact to put pressure on the Bahamas to do the inquest. If they thought they would lose tourist dollars, they would act quickly. But I guess unless the media picks up on it, there is little to be done.

You and Sod present some interesting scenarios and raise lots of questions that should be answered. Everything that has been discussed shows, beyond a doubt, that a thorough investigation is long overdue! Daniel was a U.S. citizen who died under mysterious circumstances, and the Justice Department should have shown more interest in one its’ citizens who met an untimely and suspicious death in a foreign country. Did our Ambassador to the Bahamas have anything to say about this strange death and about the activities of HKS? I thought it was the responsibility of the Ambassador to facilitate good relations between the two countries, and I don’t think the failure to investigate - nor the corruptness allowed by the Bahamian government to grant special favors to ANS and HKS should be overlooked. Beyond the death of Daniel, there is the appearance of favoritism being shown to HKS that other law abiding U.S. citizens do not enjoy! Corrupt actions could and should create hostility toward a government that operates in this fashion.

The bottom line is no one in the Bahamas cares or cared about Anna or Daniel or Howard or KE. They live in their own little world.

Their courts could care even less. They don't want a murder case on their hands that's going to make them actually work along with a lot of inconvenience to the people who live their Bahamian life. The easiest "out" is to let Danny's death ride as an accident....an untimely and strange accident.

Boy, good thing Howard had that camera ready THAT NIGHT showing Anna, baby and Danny "Healthy and Happy"...because 6 hours later would have been too late.

I assume there is an Embassy someplace. Maybe we should be writing or addressing them. I’ll look around the web.

“”””If something did happen to Dannielynn, would Larry get Anna Nicole’s entire estate?”””

Great question - I’m not a lawyer - but..............
HK$ has probably already written an estate planner for DL with LB as the direct blood relative beneficiary! Certainly HK$ would be entitled to a fee as executor!

Notable that Larry’s rationale for his *relationship* with HK$ is *because HK$ knows what assets Anna had/has* And of course, he’s being magnanimous for DL’s sake!

I just went to the US Embassy site in the Bahamas. There are several references on the side bar...in regard to births and deaths in their country. I need a little time to digest it.

“””It’s called PLANNING.”””

More like a battle plan - tactics, strategy, chemical weapons, imprisonment, brainwashing, propaganda, land/asset confiscation, diversion, double-agents, maritime assets, foreign outposts.

It has everything - the spoils of war must be tremendous - how about a $1billion dollar estate? Now we’re talking Master Plan!

Just pondering:

I just love Howard's statement in Seidlin's Court that they were really, really going to get married "today".

Two people probably know more about that wedding at sea than we are being told...Moe and Good Ole Captain Gibson.

I'd guess that Captain Gibson has good and useful knowledge about "Weddings at Sea". Betcha he's been at a few of them. I'd also say that Howard has something on both of them.

Hello to everyone

Claims of homeowners living “mortgage free”

By TAMARA MCKENZIE, Assistant News Editor

tamara@nasguard.com

While thousands have been waiting for years to qualify for a government low-cost home, there are more than 40 individuals in Grand Bahama who were reportedly issued keys to new homes, even though they did not meet the necessary approvals, nor did they produce a downpayment.

But that’s not all.

Such individuals, The Guardian has learned, have never paid a mortgage to date, and Housing Minister Kenneth Russell believes that there are additional persons, including new homeowners in the capital who are also living “mortgage free.”

“There are people in these homes who have not paid a dollar since they [the former government] moved in them,” the housing minister alleged in a telephone interview with The Guardian. There are people in these homes who have not signed a mortgage as yet and there are people in these homes who could not come up with a down payment. I have a list from Freeport with over 40 persons on it who do not have a mortgage for their house and they have been in the house since 2005. We also believe that there are more than this [40] in Nassau, but we are doing our investigation.”

The seriousness of the situation, which is reportedly plaguing the Mortgage Corporation, comes on the heels of The Guardian revealing earlier this week that the Ministry of Housing is in need of some $300 million to pay off its debts, according to Russell, who had said earlier that some $24 million is owed to government and private contractors as well as The Bahamas Mortgage Corp., while the $6.3 million set-aside in this year’s budget for the Ministry of Housing and the $1.1 million allocated to the Department of Housing will be used to repair existing homes.

As it now stands, there are some 10,000 individuals who have applications pending at the Department of Housing in Nassau alone, while 4,000 are seeking homes in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

Asked how individuals were allowed by The Bahamas Mortgage Corp. to move into a new home without a down payment or a mortgage, Russell blamed the former Progressive Liberal Party government for allegedly issuing keys for a number of homes without completing a mortgage or conveyance. His response was also followed by other questions.

“Why did the government give keys to houses that were not completed?” Russell asked. “Why did the government give keys to houses for people they (were) told would be paying $700 a month, then turn around and tell them that they would be paying $1,000 a month? There are a lot of questions but it will take a while before we can find a way to get around this problem. And because these people are in their homes already, as far as they are concerned, they were legally assigned to a house and we now have to work with them to come up with a solution.”

Yesterday, The Guardian made several attempts to reach Jerome Godfrey, managing director of The Bahamas Mortgage Corp., to confirm Russell’s claims, but we were repeatedly told that he was in a meeting. However, former housing minister under the Progressive Liberal Party administration, Shane Gibson, said Russell was likely to make a lot of claims about the former administration, only to score cheap political points.

Gibson said it’s the Department of Housing and the Mortgage Corporation that allocate homes, and not government ministers. And while he was unaware if persons were actually given homes without having to offer a down payment or sign for a mortgage, Gibson did admit, however, that when he became housing minister in 2002, he found that some 33 per cent of the mortgages at The Bahamas Mortgage Corp. were in arrears and there were also some homeowners who had not paid a mortgage on their low-cost home for almost 12 years.

“These people are told to move but they don’t move,” Gibson explained. “What we have to do is go to court to get vacant possession, which means the court will order them to move out of the house ,but in order to get vacant possession, its a procedure you have to go through.”

Meanwhile, Russell said repairs are underway on several homes in Freeport, which were built by the former administration. A team, he said, is also being formulated to begin repairs in Nassau as early as next week. “I think all the housing subdivisions in Nassau have problems, and to be honest, I did not dream that the magnitude of problems was so serious,” he said.

The housing minister claimed that brand new homes in Exuma which took two years to build — homes where people have only been living for the past six months — have leaking roofs and sewer problems because of faulty septic tanks.

“There is one lady whose yard is filled with sewerage and when I looked at her septic tank it’s not built according to the Bahamas Building Code,” the housing minister claimed.

Russell further revealed that there are government homes in the capital with one-inch thick floors when they should be four inches, and many newly constructed homes have cracked walls.

“We have $1.5 million right now to get the first stab at it [repairs] and I am hoping that we are lucky and that this is all that we need, but I believe it will cost much more than this,” Russell said, adding that it is the intention of the government to build better homes during its five-year term at a much lower cost than the existing starting price of $81,000.

But Gibson, the former housing minister, said the PLP experienced the same problems with homes when they took office in 2002. He said there is no such thing as a “perfect” house and he too met deficiencies when the PLP took office. He added, however, that he did not complain, but only “highlighted” the deficiencies and moved on.

“As for me, I had a lot of repairs too and if you check all of my parliament speeches, I talked about all the repairs I had to do in Millennium Gardens,” Gibson said of a sub-division built by the Free National Movement administration. “I [remember] I had a meeting in Millennium Gardens one night and there were so many complaints that I had to actually start refunding people money in order to get their houses repaired, so this is nothing new.

“If you go in Millennium Gardens right now, you will see some houses that nobody lives in — houses that were there since the FNM was in office,” Gibson claimed. “The houses [in Millennium Gardens] were so bad that we had to sell them at reduced prices.”

Gibson said Russell is only looking for “excuses” because it is clear that the FNM will not be able to live up to its commitment to build 3,000 new homes within the next five years.

“Tell him to stop complaining. We elected them to lead, not complain,” Gibson said.

Looks like the Bahamas has a history of letting people live in houses mortgage free.
