Thread Number 3
Do you think we should start a new thread at 15K??
Perhaps when the O’Quinn vs. Stern case starts - that might be a good time!
Who’s in charge?????? Any volunteers? Where’s mom4kitty’s ping list and is it current?
I watch far too many TV crime shows. It’s coloring my objectivity;)
Since DNA and improved forensics, cases that went cold 20+ years ago are being successfully reviewed and prosecuted. Frequently, the cause of death is corrected from accidental/natural/suicide to homicide. Seems that Anna’s and Daniel’s deaths are obviously homicides and should be thoroughly investigated by US law enforcement. The FBI is an appropriate agency, to ensure justice for these two US citizens, just as they participated in the Natalie Holloway case. Who authorizes the FBI to get involved???
“”””Maybe Virgie Arthur can pressure the FBI to get involved..”””
Good point, Virgie is a retired, 28-year LE officer, IIRC, with an FBI family member... so there may well be some undercover work ongoing.
We know that Virgie’s search for justice has never been promoted by the media in the same manner as Larry’s DNA or Beth Holloway’s nightmare search for Natalee.
Virgie has probably discounted any media ‘help’ and would remain discreet about any formal investigation, for good reasons and better results. (We can hope)
“””I seem to recall a case where a victims US Senator or Rep. was involved in getting the FBI to act. “””
With all his influence and belief that HK$ is a serial killer, O’Quinn surely has flexed some muscle in high places. Although O’Quinn in some legal trouble of his own -he could redeem hisself with catching a double murderer (or two). Yah think???
Anyone hear anything on O’Quinn’s deposition? Wasn’t something else suppose to happen on the 16th, too? The inquest?
marky bump
Here’s moron Art Harris’ August stuff:
http://www.artharris.com/2007/08/
Still checking around for news from the Bahamas - no luck - there are inquest-related dates since Sept 10th, 2006 DANIEL HAS BEEN DEAD ALMOST ONE YEAR!!!
Let’s hear some appropriate applause for Bahamian Justice!!
The 21st is the next up and it's Stern's response to O'Quinn.
Next is Order to show cause on the probate on the 24th.
The 28th is a Horizon's hearing.
And hearing on motion proof of service hearing is the 30th. I think that's Birkhead and Opri.
Hey there FDH!
Once again, thank you for your extremely impressive and orderly competence;)
Next time the brain is awol- I shall ping you first.
sod
stupid on duty)
Thanks much. TIME is Howard’s best friend. He can just keep robbing the bank until someone hits the bell.
When wrestler Benoit died, the Feds wasted no time going after his doctor. But somebody seems to be dragging their feet regarding Anna Nicole's physicians. Hope the California medical board will take action.

In most cases, money is the key ingredient which spoils flourishing relationships, but could it hold the future of the Acklins/Crooked Island Regatta hostage?
This important question hasn’t been answered yet, but according to ‘King’ Eric Gibson, one of the persons involved in the heated battle, money will be the dark cloud that hovers over the festivities until the bills and persons are paid.
Gibson took time out yesterday to speak with The Nassau Guardian, in an attempt to clarify the argument between himself and Anita Collie-Pratt, the chairman for the Acklins Trade and Development Association and the Acklins’ Home Coming Committee. Gibson is the chairman for the Acklins Regatta Committee, a position he has held for more than 40 years. However, the latest developments behind the arguments have Pratt firing Gibson from his position.
“Anita firing me is like the Prime Minister of The Bahamas firing the Queen of England, it can never happen,” said Gibson yesterday. “That is not my main concern. All I really want is for the committee and Ms. Anita Pratt to pay me the money they owe me, that is all. Anita promised me that I was going to get $7,000, when I reached in Acklins but up to this day I still haven’t received any of the money.
“Anita and the committee owes me $2,000 for transporting the boats on the barge and an additional $5,000 to the committee which is the government’s money to the association. All I want Anita to do is pay me the money so I can clear some of the other bills surrounding the regatta, that is all.”
According to Gibson, the amount of $7,000 is just the small half of the whole argument, which Pratt is trying to twist by diverting the attention on the highlights Gibson has given to the late Anna Nicole Smith at the regatta. The Acklins/Crooked Island Regatta was held August 1-6.
Gibson further revealed that the sum of $17,000 is still outstanding and should be made payable to Bahamasair, which has assisted with the regatta for many years. He also added in the cash prizes for the sailors, which came to little over $10,000.
In an attempt to break down the cost surrounding the argument, Gibson included the $30,000 which is granted by the government, stating that $5,000 should be given to the regatta committee with the remainder being payable to the barge. Gibson revealed that Ron Miller was given a blank check which should have been cashed for $8,000 but instead the check was cashed for $16,000. With the check amount being more than the committee anticipated, the sum of $16,000, the first check written to Bahamasair bounced due to insufficient funds in the account. Gibson claims that the check which bounced would not have mattered if Pratt had given the $7,000 as promised.
“I am not too sure how this would affect the future of the regatta, but there will be some effects,” said Gibson. “I didn’t want this to happen. I didn’t want any of this to happen. That is why I wrote a letter to Byran Woodside, the Minister of State for Sports, asking him to bring some clarity to the problem, but Pratt went ahead to the media making me out to be a thief when I am not.”
Attempts to reach Pratt yesterday were all unsuccessful.
Whoops....Gibson forget to mention ET and Howard in all this. Gibson’s words are likely “half truth”, i.e., “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth” is on the other side of the door....and Howard has the key.
You are not stupid and what I posted wasn't impressive. ;P
Truth is, all these court dates are very confusing to me.
Hmm, maybe I should get ready to check out Sept on that calendar...it might get even worse.
if you want to commit the perfect murder - kill the victim in an Indian Reservation or the Caribbean.
Or have OJ’s jurors at your trial.
