One way is when you see the documents of court cases, such as the ones posted around for this case...
check them for a Case #. For instance, on Birkheads filing you will find -

If you look at hks’s filing of ANS Will you see

Case# BP104575

and a ton of info including the date/time/location of the hearing

This would tell me to search for LA Superior Court Central District. I would then check around to see if they provide case info online. (some do some don’t, CA is the best State and provides a lot!)

Four months after Anna Nicole Smith’s death, a Los Angeles judge Tuesday named Howard K. Stern executor of her estate and Larry Birkhead guardian of his and Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn.

Attorneys will return to court later this year to review Smith’s assets, which Stern estimated at $710,000 – but which could grow substantially pending the outcome of a battle over the estate of Smith’s late husband, billionaire J. Howard Marshall.

Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff told the lawyers he was concerned about a clause in Smith’s will disinheriting any children born after her son, Daniel, who died last September three days after Dannielynn was born.

Smith, who died in February of an accidental overdose, left a will dated July 2001 that states that aside from her (now deceased) son Daniel, “I have intentionally omitted to provide for ... other heirs, including future spouses and children and other descendants now living and those hereafter born or adopted.”

Bruce Ross, an attorrney for Smith, said he’ll prove at future hearings that the clause is “extraordinary and improperly drafted” and should not stand. He promised to send copies of Beckloff’s orders to Virgie Arthur, Smith’s mother.

This was the first Los Angeles hearing involving Stern and Birkhead since February, when they clashed in a family law court over paternity of Smith’s now 9-month-old daughter, Dannielynn. Stern participated in Tuesday’s hearing by conference call from the Bahamas; Birkhead appeared in person.

I tried to find a biography for this judge to see if he had any connection to Stern or Rale, but couldn't find one. Why in the hell would anyone appoint a known liar and manipulator as executor of the estate of someone he is known to have exploited and used for his own personal livelihood? That judge didn't need testimony that HKS used ANS; he could have seen the disrespect HKS had for her in that clown video he made showing her stoned out of her mind. NO ONE would record something like that about someone they loved!! It makes no sense for this judge to appoint Stern, but it does, IMO, confirm that Birkhead made a deal with Stern. I would like to know what 'the unethical thing Opri was asked to do'.

I bet the judge does have questions about the clause in the Will stating that no future children would be included in the Will. He should have examined that for fraud before appointing HKS executor. ANS was alleged to be stoned or drunk much of the time, and I don't think anything she signed or said during that time should be binding. HKS and LB are probably looking to share any money that can be collected from the Marshall's, and I hope they don't get a cent, but have to pay mega bucks for taking up the courts time. I don't want to see DL hurt, but I don't think ANS was entitled to one dime from the Marshall's. She allegedly ignored and mistreated the elderly Marshall, and she only married him for his money...that has been proven in testimony about her. She got plenty from him while he was living, and there's no evidence she contributed anything to the marriage!

Oh, good idea, I hadn’t even thought that far ahead. I always assume the good ol boys of the court stick together no matter what. My Bad.

I don’t think the Judge has a choice. The clown video wasn’t entered by anyone. NO ONE seems to be contesting this piece of garbage. Judge can’t go on media hype to make legal decisions. He must go according to the laws.

CA has a vested interest in ANS. She filed bankruptcy there and that case is largely responsible for the ‘ongoing’ Marshall saga. You KNOW CA has their hand out$$$$ to capture $$$ via the bankruptcy issues. To date, ANS camp has been extremely successful there and I have no reason to believe all anyone but ANS has dropped dead :O More than that, Bush is pushing for Federal Courts to strong arm in on State cases$$$ Much of the reason why so many across the nation are watching the Marshall case. States DO NOT want to give up their ‘power’ to the Feds. Marshall / ANS case could change to Bush’s wishes to no only ANS estate, but change the laws / courts for my children and yours and our children’s children! Pretty serious stuff. I am no atty but reading what I can to learn and it is a ‘landmark’ many have their eye on holding their breath. It is much bigger than ANS.

I suspect if media influences a Judge in anyway, even though he can’t state such, th it may end up being in the Marshall decision. IF they follow the millions LB has managed to gain exploiting DL, they may be less inclined to favor an award out of sympathy for a baby or ruling against it entirely. Just a guess though.
