Thread Number 3
IMO — and just MO — it will be very, very difficult to prove wrongful death for ANS (not in the case of Daniel). Look back at the old article posted her the past three months... how many stories was there about ANS demanding her drugs? Don’t think that won’t affect a potential jury, it will... Not saying HKS is innocent, but proving he is not innocent — especially if Moe and his wife and others are unwilling to talk will be very difficult and Florida sets the bar to win a wrongful death suit very high....
What makes you think Larry has something going on with Larry? Virgie???? She said they were living together and that wasn’t true....and the stepmother knows a lot, that not one of us on this thread knows, about what has really gone on the past three months in the Bahamas... perhaps we will know the story one day and then we can say what his stepmother said was right or wrong.
I have as much right to “take up bandwidth” on the subject as you do...
Thanks.. remember the dad and stepmother spent a couple of weeks in the Bahamas with Larry before he left to go back to California prior to the DNA test/
” The way I understand they only put them into foster care if there is not a grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.,, willing to take them then they can send them to an OOS relative.
I just re-read my post to you and I want to clarify that I am not trying to be flip or cavalier in my answer to you. What you might detect is exasperation with an overburdened, ineffectual system.
What you wrote is what most people - logically, lovingly believe ought to be able to occur. I agree with that perspective.
My tone - of frustrated anger at the reality of the situations is from working within the courts there, working with both caring and indifferent workers, therapists and judges and knowing how harsh and overworked the entire system is and has been for many, many years. Sadly what you wrote just is too naive and too sweet to occur even with the utmost effort.
The system has developed very protective, rigid measures to justify it’s actions or inactions/inflexibility as a way of attempting to not break down completely.
Isn’t that funny? You made a simple mistake, and we’ll be hearing about the awful “stepmother” for a few months....simply because someone missed your most recent post.
Not that I’m faulting you, but that’s what happens when the news reports something, it’s found as false, and everyone gets carried away by it, and reports it as fact.
Like I said...I’m not faulting you. It was an honest mistake.
A wrongful death suit was applauded in the OJ case. And it certainly it proper here in view of the facts. ANS was drugged with drugs prescribed for HKS - he had to provide her with them, etc.
HKS and KE are the villains here. The trashing of an elderly woman - who lost a daughter and grandson - has taken on an ugly and obsessive quality.
I would be curious to know how much scrunity would fall on the Seminole PD and Perper in a wrongful death suit. I do think it would blow the lid off if it could be shown that the case was handled improperly.
“”””If it requires having custody of Dannilynn “””
Virgie has publicly stated she does not want custody(physical possession) of DL, just guaranteed visitation rights.
Guardianship(representation such as Milstein had)would give Virgie legal standing to in legal decisions/hearings when Larry does not have the stomach for it. i.e. wrongful death suit against HK$ and KE.
i.e. in probating Anna’s 2001 will - Virgie and Larry could represent the best interests of DL who IIRC is excluded as a beneficiary. Larry really does need Virgie’s gutsy attitude in exposing HK$’ despicable reign of terror.
I just cannot justify using that child for vengence. There has been too much pain already in her little life, she needs to be away from all of this an in a happier living situation.
If OQ can figure out a way to do this that doesn’t involve Virgie having to have custody of Dannilynn -—then go for it...
“The trashing of an elderly woman”
Elderly woman? Who is that?
They already have..it’s called co-guardianship which is what is being attempted in the Bahamas. She won’t have custody.
Larry Birkhead & Anna Nicole Smith Baby: The Battle for the Cash

Larry Birkhead and his baby girl are finally home. The little infant girl of the late Anna Nicole Smith and her proud papa landed in the US and are in Larry's home state of Kentucky. The 7-month-old baby girl of cover girl Anna Nicole Smith and her only living heir arrived at a Kentucky on Tuesday and that is where they should remain.
Larry Birkhead & Anna Nicole Smith Baby: The Battle for the Cash
The custody battle over Dannielynn Birkhead is not over yet, grandma, Virgie Arthur, still fighting tooth and nail for Dannielynn and control of that half-a-billion-dollar stake the baby may inherit, the parties set to square off for another legal showdown in the Bahamas. The battle for what many believe is the cash - will continue. There is a hearing scheduled for June 8 in the Bahamas.

Access Hollywood has some incredible pictures of the 'homecoming' and this report: Welcome home, Larry Birkhead.
Judy Birkhead's request to her brother (or was it an order?) signaled a much needed return to normalcy for a man who has spent the past 6 months telling the world he was, indeed, the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby, and three months battling in the Bahamian courts to take her home. The first thing she asked Larry, "Hey Larry, would you take the garbage out?"
The legal wrangling, the relentless media pursuit, it was, at least for now, all behind him. Larry, physically and emotionally drained, was happy to be surrounded by the people he loved, surrounded by people overjoyed to have the newest Birkhead family member home.
Dannielynnn sat contentedly on her father's lap as the Birkhead clan - sister, brother, parents, niece and nephews - gathered in a family room, chatting about the events of the past, the challenges that lay ahead and the love and support they have for each other.

This is Larry's baby - the battle for whatever money may come should be over. I'm guessing it is not.
Its not only ridiculous -- it is incorrect. ANS did not have a GAL assigned to her. ANS' next of kin, Danielynn had a GAL assigned to watch over her legal interests because Danielynn was an infant.
Those who do not leave a will and have next of kin who are over legal age will not have a GAL appointed to them.
For kids that is a sucky system.....
I know Florida is different. No way is DL used for vengeance. When she grows up, she surely would apprecaited if justice was done to her mother. You might consider ANS a NHI - many do, but that does not justify those causing ther death to be given a pass.
I didn't believe HKS when he said that back in September, I don't beleive Virgie when she told Greta.
that is really trailer trash talk - is she from Texas? sarc/
We weren't all born here -- but we got here as soon as we could! And I've met more trailer trash on the East coast.
