I think he wants all the chocolate and wimmin for hisselfI suppose he thinks that his meager Social Security contribution to my golden years justifies his extreme stinginess where wimmins and chocolate are concerned.

Give a man chocolate and you feed him for a day...

I need a t-shirt like this. I'm always telling people at the office that I can't be trusted with chocolate.

You don't have any vacation time coming? You should all go on strike, Sweets. Just long enough to get some rest anyway. :)

Oh, I have vacation time coming. It's just that I can't take any right now. Unfortunately, in my job, there is a lot of crisis management and damage control, appointments, meetings and court appearances that have to be worked around. I have control over some of it and there are some things that I can put on hold, but there are other things that I can't. Right now, there are two of us handling EVERYTHING...and the other one is on leave this week. There are two SSA's (aides) in the office, but they are very limited in what they can do. They do a lot of the transportation, phone and correspondence, that sort of thing, but for the major stuff, it is either me or the other worker/investigator. We're the only ones who can do all the court documents, handling emergencies, investigations, doing placement, medical and therapy intakes, case assessments, staffings, etc. We're also the only ones who can enter a great deal of the information into our system. We're spread very thin. My supervisor said that she has just approved a new hire, but it has to be processed through Little Rock and it takes a little time. Hopefully, she will start in a couple of weeks. She is already trained, so that is a good thing. We have another one who is on loan to another county. Her time down there is supposed to be up the middle of next month, then she is on leave for 2 weeks. She should be back the middle of May. So things are looking up, but right now, I can't see daylight! My daughter wants me to take the first 2 weeks of June off, so that is what my plan is at this time. She and Tyler plan to come out then.

"I think seeing your daughter and grandson would do you good " It always does. I always look so forward to the time I get to spend with them. I'm also hoping I can work in a trip to Georgia sometime soon, too. I haven't been there in several years.
