My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I'm slow tonight. Doing a room over.
I'm glad you put it up.

Brit soil is alkaline, so I blamed my bluebells' failure to thrive on my acid soil. I'll keep trying.

Like the sun we must rise and shine,
because our lives are run by time,
it would be wonderful to say time was mine,
and if it were, life would be divine
To have the time to do what we can,
and not be encumbered by job or man,
free as a bird and soar in the sky,
and be happy all day as time goes by

Good morning everyone.
NYA, the lovely sun is not around
instead we have white stuff of the ground
No, it is not dandelion fluff, but the other cold, white, wet stuff.

Very lovely poem I find in the Lair
one of the early birds left it here.
It's promise of blessed retirement
a dragon's treasure of time saved up
no ringing alarms jarring one's ear
just cool sailing from here to there.

Oh, this stuff is wet and sloppy a farmer's snow to be sure.
It's good for field crops to ensure
a bountiful harvest in the fall of the year!

Julius Caesar met his fate
on this old and infamous date
the old omens for him rang true
another breath you will not take
and saved a million from the stake.

Words of good council he refused to hear,
as a sayer of sooths whispered into his ear,
to be alert to "The Ides of March"
as you pass through the arch,
on your way to the "Forum",
you will be beset by a Quorum,
eager to take your life,
and put an end to Roman populace strife,
your final words "Et Tu Brute" before you die,
as Brute and the others look you in the eye,
and others looked on with glee,
to the deed that no one would consider as a tragedy.

Oh, wonderful!
A master poet on the way
rhyming words like making hay
a talent you didn't know was yours
but discovered it behind the Lair doors!

Announced by all the trumpets of the sky, Arrives the snow, and, driving o'er the fields, Seems nowhere to alight: the whited air Hides hills and woods, the river, and the heaven, And veils the farmhouse at the garden's end. The sled and traveler stopped, the courier's feet Delayed, all friends shut out, the housemates sit Around the radiant fireplace, enclosed In a tumultuous privacy of storm.
Come see the north wind's masonry. Out of an unseen quarry evermore Furnished with tile, the fierce artificer Curves his white bastions with projected roof Round every windward stake, or tree, or door. Speeding, the myriad-handed, his wild work So fanciful, so savage, nought cares he For number or proportion. Mockingly, On coop or kennel he hangs Parian wreaths; A swan-like form invests the hidden thorn; Fills up the farmer's lane from wall to wall, Maugre the farmer's sighs; and, at the gate, A tapering turret overtops the work. And when his hours are numbered, and the world Is all his own, retiring, as he were not, Leaves, when the sun appears, astonished Art To mimic in slow structures, stone by stone, Built in an age, the mad wind's night-work, The frolic architecture of the snow.

Absolutely beautiful graphic and poem.
It has stopped snowing now and is beginning to melt. Just a daffodil snow, or poor man's manure. Helps to get Spring to spring.
To: Soaring Feather
Thanks. It would have been better if my main computer had been accessible. I had to do some maintenance on it and still have more to do that's overdue.
