My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Yes, I sure did. I went to look at English Bluebells and saw the pic you posted. LOL
Man I could not have any pictures.
My grandmother always had Blue Bells in her garden. I have always been fond of them.
Doh, I was thinking Lupine and your thinking blue bonnets, and bluebells. Yikes. LOL

Your Texas bluebells remind me of springs in England.

I picked a faded dandelion And blew it in the air It's tiny little parachutes Went floating everywhere. They caught the wind And danced awhile Bending to and fro In splendid ballerina style. Finally as the wind grew still They floated back to earth And bedded in the dark warm soil To start their new rebirth. When next summer comes And dandelions are everywhere I'll pick another faded flower And blow it in the air.

Interesting. What an ungrateful person to complain about the bounty of gifts that you give him/her. 8^)
Print this out and hand it to her! Strees how good dandilions are for the liver!:
You can also eat dandelion flowers, or use them to make wine. Collect them in a sunny meadow, just before mid-spring, when the most flowers bloom. Some continue to flower right into the fall. Use only the flowers yellow parts. The green sepals at the flowers base are bitter.
The flowers add color, texture, and an unusual bittersweet flavor to salads. You can also sauté them, dip them in batter and fry them into fritters, or steam them with other vegetables. They have a meaty texture that contrasts with other lighter vegetables in a stir-fry dish or a casserole. A Japanese friend makes exceptionally delicious traditional dandelion flower pickles, using vinegar and spices.

Now that would be so generous of you. The benefits of compost and exercize could prolong her life expectancy and cut down on the watering and fertilizer costs. What an ungrateful neighbor. 8^)

Those are lovely, yes, but very different from English and Spanish bluebells. Gentian is an hallucinogen, pretty dangerous.

Virginia Bluebells
Texas Bluebells aren't what I consider bluebells.
I would love to see the English Bluebells in bloom in England!
These Virginia Bluebells are lovely,too.

Thank you very much for the link! I've tried it all with her, including cooking some greens for her, but there is just no reasoning with that ungrateful woman!

When they came up they were everywhere. And they were magical to walk through.

I see you all have been having
a dandelion yawn of a time
please excuse my absence class
what I did was recline
I yawned and yawned until I thought I would lose my head
instead I laid me down on soft down
to take a nap I said...
I dreamed an awful dream while out
caught knee deep in snow
and water rushing everywhere
while having no place to go
Awoke from my deep repose
by John Gibson's voice
I stepped inside the Dragonflies' Lair
and found it full of folks
posting facts of the properties of dandelion's worth
with instructions to print this page
I took a little peek at it to read in great awe,
the redeeming qualities of the dandelion
and why I should put the hoe down
and not disturb they healing roots
while they fill my nose with fur.
Ode, to the dandelion, is the word today
mingled with the Bells of Blue by a country lane
with Texas Bluebonnets holding forth
in colorful array
juxtaposed by the humble dandelion
a natural history lesson all in a day.
