Anna Nicole Smith Murder Case: Authorities are now seeking search warrants to access Anna Nicole Smith's computer files because they now believe her death was indeed suspicious.
Although police are not saying publicly that their inquiries have become a murder investigation, it is now become abundantly clear that they are exploring whether the 39-year-old Playboy Playmate's shocking death was anything but an accident.
Seminole Tribe police have met Broward County prosecutors to determine whether they have sufficient grounds for search warrants to the computer files, The Miami Herald reported.
Smith's computers, removed from her home in the Bahamas following her death, might play a key role in the probe of the former Reality TV star's death.
Right now authorities say they have no evidence of foul play, but her death is nevertheless considered suspicious. The Herald reports that police would investigate it as thoroughly as they would a homicide.
Last week, it was revealed that the Seminole police had two new pieces of evidence in the case that they wanted to explore, thus holding up the Broward medical examiner's final report.
Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper has yet to announce what caused Smith's death.
A clear motive is needed for it to be a true murder investigation. A re-examination of some old information could have an impact on that missing piece.
Anna Nicole Smith's longtime companion, attorney Howard K. Stern, oversees a corporation that was allegedly set-up to manage Anna Nicole Assets. Anna Nicole is/was the President of "Hot Smoochie Lips Inc." and Howard K. Stern was also an officer. Since Stern is the only surviving officer of the company, he doesn't have to wait to control any of the assets.
On 4/11/2005, the house of Anna Nicole smith, located at 3646 Avenida Del sol, Studio City, CA 91604, was purchased by Vickie Lynn Marshall (aka Anna Nicole Smith) for $1,335,000.00. On 4/11/2005 the Grant Deed was in Vickie Lynn Marshall's name.
One day later, on 4/12/2005, the GRANTEE (or the Grant Deed / title) of the house was changed to: Hot Smoochie Lips Inc.
Isn't this about the same time she tried to get off the drugs? And/or had pneumonia? What else happened at this time? When did she lose the first baby?
