Anna Nicole Smith's former friend Ben Thompson spent time in a federal prison camp.

ET uncovers the prison past of one of the players in the Anna Nicole Smith saga.

ET reveals that BEN THOMPSON, the man who claims to own the Bahamian home where ANNA NICOLE SMITH last lived and where HOWARD K. STERN currently resides, spent nearly three years behind bars in the late eighties.

Thompson spent part of his sentence in a federal prison camp in Montgomery, Alabama for conspiracy to import marijuana and filing a fraudulent tax return.

He was released in 1988.

Yes, saw this post too - and you are so right - ET is claiming to get a scoop that FR Investigators found LONG TIME AGO. Has anybody found the exact post where this info was posted here so we can prove to the ET lurkers we found that info out first? I tried to search for it but once again am a search dufus.
