Yes, it's an old drug. The original Mickey Finn. Hypnotic is CH's mechanism of action, that's the group of drugs it belongs with. Like saying a pill is a diuretic, just a classification. I'm not aware of it ever being used in conjunction with clinical hypnosis. It's a heavy duty knock-out pill/suppository or syrup with additional limited usage for pre-procedure sedation.

It does not come in injectable form though I suppose you could dilute the syrup and inject it, melt a suppository in a spoon and inject that or liquify the capsule contents and inject that.... if you were desperate and didn't care about unpredictable results.
