I can't BELIEVE that the Judges in the Bahamas will cut Howard any slack in all of this. Someone has to stand up to that POS..

CTV babblers were opining that the Bahamas don't want DL leaving. If she has a large estate, they can make money off of her. This is getting sicker and sicker. By the time this is settled, DL will be a toddler! And Larry will have missed all her baby "firsts"....I detest ANS and HKS. They are/were experts at ruining peoples lives. Scum!

If this continues then yes she is a hostage of the Bahama government. This is going to end up being a Elian type situation.

It is going to get real ugly... but like I said these talking heads are acting like she is a Bahamian citizen. But she is not.. they cannot enforce their laws on her because she has the right to know what country she is a citizen of and she has the right to be with her bioligical parent(s) no matter what country they live in.

By now I am pretty sure that Opri has sprung this info on to the Bahamian judge and that is when he called for a 2 week rest. My guess is that he is going over these laws to find out if he is really binded to them. On Friday we will find out hopefully what exactly is going on but we have to remember that everyone is under a gag order.

The people who are talking on TV are not involved in the case.

It isn't likely that it is Virgie's injunction that is keeping Dannielynn there...Stern is keeping her there.

Stern hiding behind an injunction doesn't work I don't think. Stern and Anna ran there to get away from the paternity issue with Birkhead and for other legal reasons I'm sure. Stern determined to contine there after Anna's death. Virgie got the injunction only because Stern has Dannielynn and she wanted to cover the angle of what if he decided to flee with her.

If Stern hadn't kidnapped the baby and held her hostage, the injunction wouldn't exist.

The talking heads are doing the speculating and talking now. We will just have to wait and see.

I do believe that all LE have their eyes on HKS.

Larry and Opri do not appear down trodden and upset. Something is going on that has not been revealed. I am optimistic about the situation.

One higher-up, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told the Journal that Bahamian authorities are watching with great interest to hear what the two pieces of evidence are that are delaying the release of the cause of death and the results of the Broward County Medical Examiner’s autopsy.

"If both deaths had happened in Florida," the source said, "there would have been an arrest by now."

The source was referring to reports that the new evidence may have something to do with the narcotic methadone, which reportedly played a part in the death of Ms. Smith’s son Daniel Wayne on September 10, and which many suspect was in the late pin-up’s system when she died in Florida.

"The whole key to this is the child is not a Bahamian as in she is not of Bahamian Blood and she is not a citizen of the Bahamas. She cannot be until she applies for it at the age of 18.

Basically she is a hostage of the Bahamian government now. "

Unfortunately every single hour and day that goes by this child is being deprived of her real family/father. She is being raised by a nutcase/drug pusher [annaledgedly] and a Bahamian nanny Gibson. This woman is a Bahamian, a different culture from this babies parents. She will be affected by this the rest of her life if this goes on and on. Her speech will be that of the Bahamas, her societal influence will also be that and whatever Mr $tern will teach her. We all know what his influence can do. Where are all the childs rights advocates?

The Bahamas will be responsible for whatever happens to this baby from the minute they started dragging their feet on resolving this. Can you say P A T E R N I T Y - T E S T?

EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS FIASCO ARE AMERICAN CITIZENS! This needs to be turned over to the court in California somehow, someway....immediately. And whatever the judge in California is thinking about postponing stuff needs to stop as well. /rant

LOL... yeah I have a lot room to talk!

I just remember Opri bringing this up last week or so as they came out of the Bahamian court. It was a one liner and then she said that was all she could say because of the gag order. Opri called it a International Childs Rights Treaty that both the US and the Bahamas had agreed to or something like that.

I order carry out in about 45 minutes from now. I don't want to cook as it has actually warmed up here to 72F+ degrees from it being in the 40's last week. I'm in the lower midwest.

I know and it is driving me crazy.
I want that baby on US soil and I want a US judge to rule who gets custody of her because I know Larry will have the best chance to get custody of her.

Also the baby will not remember any of this. I cannot remember much of anything from before the age of 4 and it was like that even when I was teen.

The hearing is set to take place before Supreme Court Justice Stephen Isaacs.

http://www.jonesbahamas.com/?c=45&a=11898

The proceedings in Nassau are conducted in private, and a judge issued a gag order at the opening session Thursday to limit the information released publicly by attorneys from both sides. Arthur and Stern missed that session because they were in court in Florida, but they are expected to appear on Monday.

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Isaacs, the judge hearing the case, has barred Stern from taking the infant out of the Bahamas until a custody ruling.

Munroe is actually Anna Estate Lawyer - he is not handling the Paternity issue for Stern.

Rte66's list probably has the name of Stern's Paternity Lawyer.

I am hoping that the California judge is waiting to see what the Bahamians do this week and next and if he doesn't like it he could rule in LB's favor and make HKS a party to the case in California.

Typically in a ‘writ action,’ which the paternity matter is, both sides of a dispute file their pleadings with the court (asking for whatever relief they want from the court), then the sides proceed to dispute resolution, which insiders say has no chance of success as things now stand.

The matter is now at the case management stage, during which stage the court makes orders as to discovery, filing of documents that have not yet been filed, answering of interrogatories, and other preparatory steps for trial.
