If LB owes Opri over 500K for the time she spent representing him, then perhaps HKS probably thought that ANS owed him her life.

To get the Levoxyl or thyroid replacement hormone in general? About a year before dx, I felt run down, had the weight gain, frequent migraines, yada yada. Mentioned in passing maybe we should check my thyroid as my aunt and grandmother had thyroid problems. He kinda pooh poohed the idea and blew it off. Fast forward a year, severe symptoms (too many to list) with a growth on my throat. Went back to doc. He did a TSH, T4, and a Thyroid Autoantibodies test. I tested + for Hashi's (hypo). Normal TSH levels were below 5.0 ml/u at that time. My TSH was 130.24 ml/u. No wonder I was a mess! Long story short, I also developed fibromyalgia (probably due to toxins I couldn't release due to the severe hypothyroidism). I hadn't sweated in 2 years!! Constipation was terrible. In my opinion, the doctors lie or are ignorant or condescending when they tell you it's as a simple as taking a little pill and you'll be back to normal. Don't get me started!!! Someone, please remove that soapbox before I get on it and make a spectacle of myself.

Wow!!! Geraldo just kicked some serious A$$. He called Debra Opri a media whore and laid into her. He also called HKS vile and said that he was Anna's last choice. BRAVO!!

Lawyers, like insurance, can be considered, at times, a necessary evil, in my opinion.
Opri allegedly said she was representing Larry for free, if so, she deserves to get nothing.

I sure hope someone has that on tape - because I don't recall her ever saying that she was doing it for free. But I do recall that she said she would stick with it until Larry had his baby and that it was all about the baby for Larry and not about the money from the Marshall Estate that the child may or may no get someday.
Can you imagine someone without all the celebrity status attached to all this being in the same situation? The legal system makes it completely unaffordable to pursue your rights!

That summation from TMZ should make Charlie Paper Tiger and Dr Perper ashamed of themselves.
Perper's arrogant, holier than thou and disdainful attitude toward anyone who dares to question his bizarre and inconsistent findings is getting tiring.
Wecht's similar schtick is also wearing thin.
These two are acting like they have something to hide.
Neither one seems very comfortable that their work and conclusions can stand further scrutiny.
It's very interesting that both pathologists suddenly referred to ANS as The Queen and The Queen Bee- within 24 hours of each other.
So much for respect for the deceased.
And obviously the result of pressure from HKS's lawyer and PR team.
The Florida press should file a FOIA request to look at all the phone and email contact between Perper and HKS.
Perper behaves as if he is on Stern's payroll.
Opri's bill is outrageous but the dollar amount was expected from my view she is a high profile lawyer. I knew she would hit him hard. (no wonder she was in her office a couple of Saturdays ago as she was probably itemizing up this huge bill)
I just hope she keeps her mouth shut - if does not... she will ruin her career. I sure hope we don't see her doing a "Wecht" tantrum on camera with her defending the charges but on the bill.
I think Opri is a good lawyer but she should not act or be jaded over Larry letting her go unless she wants to fully ruin her career. At this point Opri is not looking any better than Stern when it comes to the almighty dollar.
