a lot has been bantered about them, helping Anna to get away from 'larry" but I have a feeling they wanted to help her get away from Stern and was surprised when he moved in. I recall Mrs. Shelley stating that Anna was fine until Stern showed up in So.Carolina (Keywest?) and then they had to 'go thru Stern' to even approach Anna
I'm sure they didn't like Stern but in that video Ford Shelly says that they were helping to get her away from Larry. Which is odd because Larry is supposedly a family friend. Since her death they have changed their tone but I still think there's more to them that meets the eye. I wish they would address it. Knowing Anna she may have led them to believe that Larry was hitting her and was a control freak (HELLO HKS!!!). I think they are good people but like I said I do think there's more than meets the eye.
I did have to chuckle when Ford Shelly was talking to Anna on the intercom and he was getting riled up and did that "neck roll". I thought "girlfriend" was going to throw down..lol.

I think so too! On Greta they showed a picture I'd never seen before and it was G. Ben, Dannielynn, and Anna. It looked to be the same day that Daniel arrived.

Agreed. My husband's niece is like this. Niece lie #1 afraid of husband because he keeps guns (note: nothing new -- he's a gun collector). Actually, she was having an affair. Her husband moved out on a Thursday, boyfriend moved in 4 days later. Niece lie #2 Boyfriend is crazy jealous and accusing her of cheating on him (note: she was cheating on him -- after he moved out the new man moved in in 2 days later. By the way the new man is/was married). Niece lie #3 New boyfriend is crazy and taking medicine and is paranoid. She moves out. She moved back in with him in less than a month and has lived with him for two years while he married to someone else. He finally got a divorce last December. Everyone else is the villian except the niece. She's the nutcase.

wasn't that picture great? Anna was so dern happy.....she'd found the Thommpsons/Shelleys (NORMALLLL friends), had her son allegedly coming to stay and go to school..had reestablished her friendship with the Gibsons forged when she was in the Bahamas before with Nyant (sp?), had a new baby girl....a movie coming out in a few months... and Stern was on the wayyyyy out the door...

Howard Stern was her attorney and spokesperson during this period and was among her entourage when she modeled for Lane Bryant in New York. The Anna Nicole biography "Great Big Beautiful Doll" talks about this trip and ANS's unhappiness with being upstaged by headliner KISS and the hotel's failure to have sufficient flowers and chocolates in her room upon arrival. She sent one of her group to find pickles for her while she pouted.
HKS was on full time Anna patrol at this time...what I would love to find out is exactly when and how he made contact with her for the first time...
I have read it was soon after Marshall died but he and his sister claim it was in 1996. Vergie also mentioned 1996 in her testimony in the hearing in Florida. I think he showed or made contact between the death of Marshall in August 1995 and her OD in November of 1995.
By the way... I have been lurking for awhile on this thread and finally decided to register so I could comment on the few things that I have knowledge of.

Oh no, please don't. I was just making a comment, because it has been an ongoing sore spot about the 1994 date. HKS says 1996 and I said 1996 from my checking, so I'm going with 1996. That's all - no need to butt out!

Am I the only one surprised that Anna/Vicki Lynn even kept a diary? I wish I could keep one but I don't have the patience for it. I start but never keep it up. I think she's referring to Old Man Marshall. If it can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that she met Stern prior to when they said I think that would bolster the argument that something shady went down in the hospital and that hotel room.

For those of us who did keep diaries, seems like we did it in our early teens, when you were stuck in the house at night. Mine was full of codes about the cute guys I liked...when they spoke to me, what they said and other secret thoughts (blush).
In late teens when parents permitted dates and a lot more activities, there was no time for diaries.
Perhaps Anna had a lot of free time on her hands, no friends or family to share her weird life with, (only Daniel)so she kept the diary.
Don't know - would be interesting to read more entries.
