As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Dateline, Denver...
A bill has been introduced in Congress that would bar illegal aliens from getting credit cards. This is in response to it becoming known that Bank of America--one of the largest banks in the United States--had been handing out credit cards to illegal aliens.
Meanwhile, in Massachusetts, a raid by ICE netted 325 suspected illegal aliens.
Eko-wackos, call your office. After 2005, a year with a rediculously high number of Atlantic hurricanes, it was postulated that globull warming would result in higher and higher casualty losses. The year 2006 has now been reported as "well below the long-term trend".
Also on the globull warming front--the national average temperature for the entire United States in February 2007 was the 34th coolest in the last 113 years.
Sports Illustrated is even getting into the nonsense. They have an article out now, entitled "Going, Going Green--As Global Warming Changes the Planet, it is Changing the Sports World." In it is written: "In the last year and a half, scientists have noticed that once indestructible ice sheets on Greenland and Antarctica have begun to creep toward the sea." Note to editors of Sports Illustrated--use the brains God gave you for once for something other than oogling the Swimsuit Issue! If the ice sheets are creeping toward the ocean (as in NOT RETREATING!), then snowfall is INCREASING! It has to, it's the only way glaciers get bigger! Snowfall DOES NOT increase when it gets warmer! DUH!
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Seriously, you know what I pray for. Not much more needs to be said. Love...ya.
Greg just called to tell me he won't be home. I'm sitting at his computer which has (trying not to boast) a wonderful view of our backyard with PB and Bentley. Oh! And the bird feeder. Troubles seem to fade when I have that view.
Oh my that is nice. To my left I look out at our backyard..some evergreens and a red twig dogwood not too bad, but your's is better:-))
Nope, now it's follow the leader.
What fun! You describe it well, lysie. You know...sometimes a few moments like that make the whole day a treasure.
I sat beside Chris Horner at a meeting once. He's a really nice guy.
:-) My father used to chuckle when he told that story. Now an aunt on his father's side survived the '01 Galveston hurricane with her family. There's a little, low ridge that runs thru the middle of the eastern part of that island...and that's the neighborhood where they lived. LOL! .... hurricanes in all their destructiveness and fickleness...
Little Jack's brother..?
Sorry , you left the door wide open on that one.
I'll go sit in a corner.
We need to be exposed to more of this sort of info...
They survived.
Often, I said...born too late...yet I will not give in. Those older values are too dear to me to let them go.
tsk, tsk...:-) Okay, I'm going to open that book...
And no help from the government or anyone else but family and neighbors.
Yes, and Gram would give the people knocking at the door sandwiches, while her husband ( my wonderful Grampa) worked 2-3 jobs to support his family.
Hmmm. If you remove all the data from Siberia and far northern Asia and Russia, do you suppose that it might look like the earth is getting warmer? Just a thought.
Lunch with grandson went well, and I got a carnation and a card plus got to have my picture taken with grandson. We then went and spent too much money at the book fair. LOL!
I made homemade meatballs, spaghetti with spinach and tomatoes, and a fresh salad. I forgot that Mr. Marple had to go have a beer with the surveyors tonight, so I am all ready and waiting until he gets home. I am hungry.
I have seen him occasionally on Fox. He's a young guy, very nice looking, with prematurely gray hair. I would put him at late 30's, max. Very articulate and very funny.
Well, Prager's been on a GW kick lately....he had another guest some days ago who mentioned that weather station thing. Significant, yes!
He used to be at the Competitive Entrprize Institute. I don't know if that's where he still is, or not.
He's very articulate, I see him occasionally on FNC
(and quite the stud muffin, if I might say so.)
LOL!
