As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
An early and quick start. I am off to Denver for two weeks. Will start the thread on all but a week from Friday, but will be about two hours later than normal (about 9 AM ET).
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
One up on you!
Are you addressing me here, or asking if I want sugar? (Ambiguous comma. LOL)
While at Walmart look for the dollar bins selling DVDs near the check-outs. If they are there, look for the Victory At Sea DVDs. Get one.
The DVD is excellent in quality, and chronicles the march through the Pacific and Europe, including the D-Day Invasion, and the taking of the Marianna Islands. My father flew B-29's out of Guam, and so I was tickled to see the conquest of Guam.
Shoot... should have said Honey. ; )
Yes! Sometimes, depending on store, there are excellent selections.
Ain't gonna happen..ummm.. until last night. They were bugging me too close to 24 start time.
Dang it! They figured that out, too.
The little devils are smart. LOL
We used to do that with our 2 cats. Then the older one died, and a couple of years ago, we started letting the younger, surviving cat stay upstairs. It was so lonely down there for him.
But we still shut him up in the part of the house that's away from the bedrooms...the way the house is laid out, we can do that. So he's gotten used to that at least, but as soon as he hears a.m. stirrings, he's ready for us to greet him, serve him, wait on him...LOL!
I think this Walter Reed story is at least partly bogus...but having worked for the Army, and my husband served in the Army, I can easily imagine they were slow to make some changes relating to the new circumstances these particular patients from this war find themselves in.
It's the nature of bureaucracy and entrenched ways of doing things.
But wow does it irk me that the Wa Po is promoting this...getting so much mileage, and again, NOT telling the whole story, but using it to bash the administration.
Who would think that something this small could have so much control over a household. He scares our huge 100+ pound dog, Duke. He swats the the heck out of him and hides until Duke comes in and then creams him.
BUT, when his needs are met, he will caress and kiss for hours.
Bang zoom, to the moon!!
Exactly.
I understand the nickname, Hoffa! Hey he looks just like my cat....who's very sweet-natured and almost too affectionate, and a little bit of a scaredy-cat. You have the evil twin...I've got the good one.lol
It may be the computer chip that Sarah insisted. I think he's getting evil signals from Hoffa. LOL
I didn't know until I got mine that Yorkies can see through brick walls....a falling leaf, another animal in the yard, a person on the porch BEFORE he rings the doorbell....you name it. They are all-knowing!
But, we still love them...very much...sometimes, too much, if there is such a thing.
LB, how are you this a.m.?
Good luck on the stress test. I had one done in August, they get your heartrate up to over 150, then you have 60 seconds to hop on the table so they can do the ultrasound on your heart.
I am praying that you will have good results from the test.
Product launch
Tired of getting up to go to the refrigerator for brewskies?A man named John Cornwell has invented what he calls the Beer Launching Fridge. The appliance can keep a case of beer icy cool, then launch a can on demand to the recipient, 10 feet away on the couch.
"There is a slight danger of being hit in the head with a flying can," Cornwell told The Mirror of London, "but this danger decreases the more you use it."
Unless of course you're drinking the beers as you go.
Thanks Sweetie.
