Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Got an 8 AM meeting to prep for with the boss, so, let's get started.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

How is your neck, prairie?

Today I'm making an amaretto cake to take to a church supper and this afternoon I'm taking Pete for more radio ablation injections. They don't seem to be working so I'm not really sure why he's continuing with this treatment.

Thanks for the info on Chantix. I called my sis with that this morning. I managed to quit just using the patches, but when she goes without a cigarette she gets what sound to me like panic attacks, so I thought the med might help her. She is going to see her doc this morning and wanted the exact name of the drug.

I am having such fits with some medical billers in this area. I have had to prove twice now, that I've paid an account in full by producing canceled checks and in some occasions inccuring bank changes to obtain the cancelled check copies.

All this because of sloppy bookeeping on their part.

grrrr....

Congrats with the extra work though.

Just checking in briefly. I had a four point weightwatcher lunch (1 C Pregresso minestrone, 2 Rye Krisps with 1 wedge Laughing Cow low-fat cheese, and 1 C of skim milk. Ta-da!

granddaughter and I went to the grocery this morning and have baked cookies, which are ALL going to her house!

Now we will be off in about 15 minutes to nursery school. I will check in when I get home this evening.

Hi, LBKQ. Radio ablation is high frequency electrical energy and my husband gets about 4-6 small injections in his lower back. I think there are other forms of oblation too, but it's pretty widely used at the pain management clinic in town and usually with pretty good success.

(I think I have this right. Since I'm a weenie, I avert my eyes at anything to do with cutting, torture, medical procedures, etc.)

Mr. P had the computer for a few hours and I just returned your freepmail before I even saw this message. Glad your neck is better; I'd assumed in freepmail it wasn't so this is happy news.

Regarding the creaking, we joke that we paid extra money to get the silent floor system so we don't get that creaking noise during weather shifts. We should have saved our $$ because the floors are silent but our bones are creaking!

A late good morning to everyone. Hectic pace here today, so I haven't read the end of yesterday's thread.

The Good News from Iowa this morning is the Resoltuion condeming the WoT lags due to a lack of support and may never be debated in the House.

45 degrees here but a warning about NASTY weather for the weekend (which stands to reason since we are planning our FIRST EVER Iowa Freeper gathering for Saturday night)

Uh oh. Sorry to hear it will be cold Saturday but maybe you can wear a fur coat and keep warm with the added benefit of ticking off the animal rights activists.

I am a sly old Biddie. My fur coat is actually a fur lined trench coat, so it isn't noticable, but keeps me warm.

I have no fear of the Buddy Huggers. In a previous life I debated them often.

This is interesting. Found it at Maggie's Farm.

2 Questions
This oldie just came in over the transom:
Question 1:If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded - and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?
Read the next question before looking at the response for this one.

Question 2:It is time to elect a new national leader. Here are the facts about the three candidates.

Candidate A.
Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B.
He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?
Decide first... then read the answers
Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

And, by the way, on your answer to the abortion question:
If you said YES, you just killed Beethoven.

Yesterday Dog posted a link that said some 65% or so of the country wants to win the WOT/Iraq and somewhat less percentage thinks it's winnable. Perhaps the stalled bill (hopefully dead duck bill) is a reflection of that.

Have a GOOD time with your freeper buds!
