AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2217) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | February 16, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 02/16/2007 5:33:38 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

It's official.

Global warming has decided to shut itself in the closet because it is too cold outside.

While we're at it, let's talk about global warming a bit shall we? We'll call this segment Inconvenient Facts.

Global Warming Assertion Number 1 - The amount of carbon dioxide in the air is increasing and this, in turn, is warming the planet.

Inconvenient Fact 1 - Yes, carbon dioxide levels are increasing. They are up some 40 or so percent above levels many decades ago. With that, it seems someone remembered high school earth science and the greenhouse effect--carbon dioxide in the atmosphere heats the planet by trapping radiant heat, much as glass in a house does. True enough. But one important fact is missing in each and every discussion. The amount of trapping is not linear. Or at least it's not linear at the levels in the atmosphere, which must be measured in parts per billion. If that were true, we'd all be toast as ambient temperatures would be 40 percent higher than a century ago--instead of 290K, it would be running somewhere around 410K--and that is above the boiling point of water (373K). There's also another point left out--at what point does it matter? It is agreed there would be a level that would be a problem, but what is that level? No one seems to be able to tell us--probably because where not there.

Global Warming Assertion 2 - The increase in carbon dioxide, warming the planet, has led to an increase in ocean temperatures.

Inconvenient Fact 2 - Yes, the oceans are warming in a general trend over the last few decades. It isn't due, however, to carbon dioxide from above, there's simply not enough heat energy radiating on the planet to change the temperatures of the ocean that quickly--water is, essentially, a heat sink as it takes a tremendous amount of energy to actually heat it. No, the heat is coming from below. Increased volcanic activity along the mid-Atlantic ridge and in hot spots across the middle of the Pacific are heating the ocean from below (akin to boiling water on the stove). Vents with temperatures of 700K (for the scientifically uninclined, subtract about 270--273.15 actually--from the K value to achieve the C temperature) have been located in these places in increasing numbers the last couple of years. Now, gasses tend not to stay in solution when water heats up, and there is a significant amount of carbon dioxide available in the oceans as dissolved gas. When the water heats, out comes the carbon dioxide into, yep, the atmosphere, increasing the percentage of the gas in that location. So--how much is natural and how much is caused by mankind?

Global Warming Assertion 3 - The increased temperatures are melting the Arctic Ocean ice pack.

Inconvenient Fact 3 - Well, sort of. Along the northern Canadian coastline, yes, the ice is retreating and Arctic Ocean water is present. Scientists, however, have found volcanic activity along the ridge near the coast there (it's an extension of the mid-Atlantic ridge) in increasing levels over the last decade. There's that 700K water again. Of course the ice melts.

Global Warming Assertion 4 - There are less glaciers and the current glaciers are all retreating.

Inconvenient Fact 4 - There are not less glaciers, there are more. Fully 70% of the existing glaciers in the world are growing. The Antarctic ice pack is increasing in thickness, causing more calving of icebergs. See iceagenow.com for more on this.

Global warming Assertion 5 - Global warming is actually responsible for increased snowfall in the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions.

Inconvenient Fact 5 - Well, that's been beat up enough here. Even lake effect snows require cold air, the colder the more snow.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Hey! JT, I gotta tell you a little bit about your sister's game last night. She's a starter; the other girl (the one who lives done the street and whose dad is in admin) has had intermittent illnesses and hasn't been getting much play time. Anyway, your sister is aggressive, going after the ball and hanging on. We played Team Joshua last night (the other coach is SUCH a whiner. Then again, so is our coach!).

Anyway the other team had a lot of ringers as usual. This one girl was all over your sister's back. Sissy kept backing into her and shoving her around. Sis would not put up with that. But Sis has lost weight. One time she was hanging onto the ball, the other girl (who is employed as a policeman) tried to take it away from her. She lifted the ball. She lifted your sis, too! Even now your sis said, "I cannot believe that girl picked me up."

The best part of your sissy's game is that she scored the first basket and the last basket. It was a low scoring game, much defense, but we won 32 - 21.

I just turned the television on and am sicked to see it looks like the House resolution against the surge has passed and the Senate meets tomorrow.

Literally, I could hurt one of those democrats if they walked into my house right now. Our poor military and their families. What they must be thinking right now...I can't even bear to contemplate it.

They want us to lose. They were surprised and disappointed to see us win so handily. Now they're doing everything they can to have us lose.

I am begining to think... on second thought I won't say what I'm thinking. It could get me banned for life!

Ditto.

And there's a thread now, under Breaking News, that the Iraqi PM says the surge has been a spectacular success. So the Rats will move doubly fast to make sure they change that.

Why people don't see what they do, Jemian, will forever remain a mystery.

It must be because people are uninterested or dumb. I went to the hairdresser today and much as I love her, she's just dumb. Her friend was there and she loved my Star of David necklace so we got talking. Her friend mentioned how she worries for Israel because the Arabs are getting so powerful and my hairdresser said "Oh, do the Arabs hate Jews or something."

Honest to Pete, some days I think there is no hope and that the bad guys will just rule our lives completely.

Good evening. Thanks Chair for all you do.

I'm not going to give a weather forecast. I got slammed last time (8^)
No matter, it's going to get cold, yes I said cold. Could get below freezing for about 7 hours...yes, I know, I should be slammed again...

I can't believe the House (upper case because of grammar) voted to embolden the enemy. Then again, it doesn't surprise me. Ahmanutjob, Zawahiri, bin Laden, etc. have said they want(ed) the democRATs to win. Methinks the word "treason," has lost it's meaning. The Rinos who voted for this are toast.

The Founding Fathers are spinning in their graves.

I'll die before Shira law is imposed on the U.S. And trust me, I'll take a few of the enemy with me.

On a similar note, seems like the left, democRATs, socialists, anarchists want to deface the Vietnam War Memorial. I could be wrong, maybe I'm reading their flyers, web postings, etc. incorrectly. After all, I'm a dumb conservative.

Methinks it's long past time I visit the Wall again. I used to go to DC every November 11th, I miss that...March 17th I believe is the date...St. Patty's day, how appropriate.

It is a good thing for this country that Pelosi, Murtha, Kennedy and the rest of that bunch of scum weren't in power on June 7th, 1944. (yes, June 7th). We lost over 15,000 brave men on that day before, and those thugs would have been screaming to "bring the troops home!!" They only have what they have because of events like that one and many others. And those brave men and women who gave all for their country.

I'm sure the U.S. Marine Corps lowers it's head and hides it's face when his name is mentioned, the same for the Navy and John Kerry. They don't represent what this country stood for and still does today.

To me what this country stood for, and I hope will again, is represented by those like my father, wounded twice on Okinawa and was awarded the Silver Star. Also the thousands of others who did the same.

John Murtha: You epitomize Thomas Paine's words. You are nothing but a "Summer soldier and a sunshine patriot". Especially when it gives more power to you personally. You make me sick!

Good evening. Long time no talk to. This needs to be repeated...

And to add, to Mr. Murtha, I've never known an exMarine. I didn't know they existed.

Ah, summer and baseball, what a wonder concept. Something to take my mind off of treason, and people trying their best to kill us.
