Milton Evans, a Bahamian attorney was interviewed by Chris Jansen on MSNBC this morning, I learned some interesting things as a result of this interview and thought I'd share:

1. According to Milton, if the Bahamian court does eventually order that HKS must submit DL for paternity testing, there is nothing in Bahamian law that really requires him to comply. Here in the US, there are a number of judicial remedies to ensure a person complies with a court order. Apparently, in the Bahamas, (according to Milton Evans) there is no such remedy. DNA testing is a matter of discretion there. HKS would not be found in contempt, nothing would happen, which imo, begs the question, why bother? If nothing can/will be done to ensure compliance, then why bother with any ruling to require testing? Milton also said that if HKS refuses to comply, while the court won't do anything, the court CAN make certain inferences about him...so they could infer that he knows he is not the father.

2. According to Milton, the biggest question for the court in the Bahamas will be "what is in the best interest of the child". Unlike the US where biology is a pretty significant factor in determining custody, apparently that is not the case in the Bahamas and the courts there will primarily be concerned with who can best raise her, their financial position, their emotional stability, etc. I thought this was an interesting position.

3. In a separate interview Chris had with Ron Mott (an MSNBC reporter currently in the Bahamian), it was revealed the ANS apparently DID buy a home in the Bahamas. Not the Horizons property she was residing in, but some other property that required significant renovations. It was shown on screen and it certainly does need a lot of work. The way the story was told, it appears she did this very quietly and it was not known until yesterday.

4. Finally, Millstein, the GAL for DannieLynn has announced this morning that ANS will not be laid to rest before Tuesday.

I'm waiting for Howie to say that he's haapy that Virgie will be able to attend Anna's funeral because it always bothered him that "ANNA SAID" that she didn't want her at Daniel's.

He's going to "play" this IT WAS ALL ANNA to the hilt. She wanted the house in the Bahamas, She wanted the boat. She wanted to have the baby in the Bahamas. She wanted the 10 carat rock. She wanted my name on the birth certificate. She wanted the Residency speeded up. She wanted the wedding ceremony on the boat.

This will now be: I loved her. I wanted her to be happy.

Why didn't he REALLY marry her? I don't think she knew that she wasn't really married. She would have ordered the dress for the upcoming REAL wedding before she died. Ever see her wear a dress for special occasions twice??
