Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Inside Edition going to have her limo driver (from the night of the MTV Award Show) on after the commercial... the preview says he told Howard something was going to happen that night.

Said any time of day she was always drinking champaign, good, champaign. He kept an ice chest in the trunk for her.
This guy custom built the limo for her TV show.

Custody of the body only?? Stern is claiming he has the right as the baby's father since next of kin is the baby.
Since that right is under protest, the baby comes under the protection of the court.
You don't just let someone take a child because he CLAIMS to be the father.
I was refering to the only issue that was in front of this judge, which was who they would release the body to for burial.
That was the only issue this judge was supposed to rule on.
The custody of the baby, paternity, etc. is to be decided in another court.
The baby could not be next of kin (to receive the body that is) because you have to be 18 years old.
That makes the next of kin in this case anna's mother, unless stern legally married anna.
The judge was grabbing other issues not in front of him.

I don't see it that way at all. If ANS and HKS were married there would be no issue. If someone else was not saying they were fathers of the baby, there might not be much of an issue, but in this case it is so muddied, if I was the judge I'd rule to give the body to Virgie...
but since Stern is fighting so hard for the body (how much has ET offered to pay him to cover the funeral?) the judge is rightly concerned about what makes Stern think he has any right to her body... and since Stern is saying his right is as father of Dannielynn the paternity comes into issue.

After Daniel died, Anna's movie was taken off the table "to be released". Wonder if Howard's version (which was stolen) has some interesting uncut stuff.
I saw Anna's rant about her mother....yet she called her when Daniel died. Doesn't make sense.
The grandmother had done "Anna's job" (raising Daniel) for a few years. That's not hate!!!
Let's get real. Anna was all about Anna!!
Stern?? He was concerned with her weight but not the drugs?? Amazing!

I think she was outgoing and likeable and had some severe problems that someone who really loved her would have addressed. She was obviously and alcoholic and probably a drug addict and someone needed to intervene. Sounds like her mother tried, but without Stern (who had all the control over her) to help with intervention, Virgie didn't stand a chance in trying to save her daughter.

Maybe I'm not being clear enough.
That's exactly the point. Stern and anna were not legally married to the best of my knowledge.
That makes her mother next of kin (which means the body should be turned over to the mother)
There is no other issue that this judge was supposed to involve himself with.
Paternity of the baby has nothing to do with who gets the body.
