Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
On MSNBC they had a recording of a call a local reporter made of talking to the EMS people; the bodyguard, the nurse, and Stern were all in the room when they arrived.
Still has this: "Smith's attorney releases at 5:39 (Eastern Time) that the cause of her death was due to an over dosage of sleeping pills. [19][20][21][22]"
Just heard. Very sad. I hope her child can find a good home with loving parents.

Get with the program. It isn't Howard Stern, It's Howard K. Stern. Two different people.
But it's the lack of interest in the huge progress of our military in Iraq that's frustrating to me.
In the scheme of things it's a tad higher my 'what's important' list.

The autopsy will be critical. Recalling Terri Schiavo, FL isn't real good on autopsies.
The aftermath of this will be interesting, to say the least. This Howard Stern character seems like a dark figure in all this. I hope he is closely scrutinized.
And it's sad. She wasn't the best celebrity role model for young women, that's for sure, but she was a troubled woman with a lot of hangers-on feeding off her fame and escapades. Yet she was still young and had much to live for - a new baby girl and her inheritance.
May God bless her and bring peace to her troubled soul.

All I can say at this point is this should be interesting!
Do you find it odd that none of the news stations are asking about where Stern is right now? I didn't even hear Geraldo or Greta talk about it.

You had the same feeling about her I had... your husband reacted sort of like my husband did because I had told him she was going to be gone soon. he walked in and I told him and his jaw dropped this afternoon.

It sounded to me like there was ALREADY a nurse with Anna. I took that to mean they had HIRED a nurse to be with her. ????? Then I wondered if they had a nurse for the baby????
Who knows?
