Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Ok...let me add just a little background (and I do mean little) about Dr. Perper. He was the Coroner in Pittsburgh between two terms of Cyril Wecht as Coroner. Cyril had his own political enemies; but Perper was a one termer because (I vaguely remember) him making snarky comments (publicly) about DAs, or cops, and generally alienating others. Wecht won the next election (I guess that is how Perper arrived in FLA), and eventually got into trouble with billing practices and now the Coroner is no more, it is now a Medical Examiner, and I would have to google to see who it is because after those two being in the media for what seemed like decades, anyone else, who just did the job, would disappear into the background.
Do you know what happened to Perper's head? I did a search to try to find out if he had been in an accident. You would think there would be something on the net about it since he has been around for a while.
Is there a competent person ANYWHERE in this case???
Sterns Florida lawyer babe was telling the judge that HKS was Annas attorney, friend and soon to be hubby. If she had a will, I'm sure she would have whipped it out.
Also, Stern whining about the pics of the immigration minister and Anna being in the paper....I think he sold them to the paper. They were on his computer according to him....
Right now Mom and Dad are next of kin. Dad is getting ready to enter the fray. Can't wait to see if Mom and Dad go at it over the remains of ANS. As bitter as ANS was in that interview, you would think she would have done some planning. Of course, we are talking about a heavy drug user.

PA Mom - just watched Nancy Grace ask Dr. Perper or whatever his name is - the Medical Examiner from Broward County - respond to a question from a caller who asked:
What if the methadone was mixed with orange juice that ANS ingested - would that show up in the autopsy."
His (stupid) answer IMHO - was that there was blood in ANS's stomach so we don't know if that might have had some orange juice in it - but we have taken the contents of the stomach and sent them off for testing.
Nancy Grace then said - I guess you won't tell us the results of the urinalysis yet either, will you. The ME said no - Nancy Grace said - well that makes me think the Urinalysis showed evidence of the cause of death. The ME said - not it doesn't necessarily mean that.
They also earlier asked - how can there be any talk of the body going to anybody when they don't know the cause of death yet. The ME said - that the body can be let go because they got all the tissues, etc that is necessary to determine the cause of death. (My question is - how can he possibly know this????? Many times someone dies and they come back and say cause of death not determined - and the ME just PUTS ON a cause of death - even though they do not know it. For most deaths, that's accepted. For ANS - such a result from an autopsy is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
But I don't know if the body can be "kep" for 3-5 weeks like they say these lab tests will take.
When Daniel died, she called her mom. Then, mom went on TV and told Anna to be careful, she might be next. ANS made the "I hate mom" tape after that. Says her mom blamed her or Howie or both for Daniels death. Seems mom was right. Anna should have listened to her.
And which jurisdiction? The one where the will was made, or the location of death, or location of current residence?
And if there was fraud in obtaining the current residence...then what jurisdiction?
ANS is going to make a fortune for many talking heads for years to come.

THERE MAY BE HOPE YET - UNLESS THE PRIVY COUNCIL HAS GONE HOLLYWOOD.
Dr. Wecht (to me, and I have seen/heard him alot) always seems like he is trying really, really hard to make 'the little people' listening understand the complexities of what he is stating. I think it just takes a different type of personality to do that kind of work.
Dad was on TV today on Inside Edition. Supposedly, his first interview ever on TV. He said he was going to Florida.....to do right by ANS.
Perper likes the camera too much for me to trust him. He knows how Anna died. Or, at least knows what was in her blood and urine. He's milking the celebrity train for all it's worth.
LOL yeah.....every time he talks, it goes right over my head, cause all I see is HIS head....lmao
