Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
I know HK$ sold the 'first' photos of the baby to the tabs...at the time, on threads here, I remember defending the action...ie., taking the stalking paparazzi out of their lives. Controlling the media circus, etc. Then, the YouTube c-section live! video and I reconsidered my first thoughts...
1. Looks like no paternity test.
2. Looks like HKS and he have custody of this baby and nobody else is going to have access to the baby....another source of $$$$ for HKS if he sells that access to the papparazzi.
3. The stupid Seminole police Chief say no crime has occurred.....convenient domain for the "crime."
4. The medical examiner - says 3-5 weeks before know what caused ANK's death.....HKS can get on his yacht or just hunker down in the Bahamas and be unreachable no matter what those results eventually show.
5. The officials of the Bahamas are obviously in the pocket of HKS. So no hope for anybody who might actually be working on behalf of Anna Nicole Smith's interests to break through to get the truth or to help that baby.
This is just plain sickening. And maddening since you KNOW the truth will never be allowed to be known.
Yes, it does remind you of the Aruba situation and the poor Holloway girl - except that there are multiple millions and a little baby involved in this.
The more I have learned about ANS today, the less I think of her - especially the way she treated her ill elderly "husband" - not visiting him during his last month of life...and carrrying on with a boyfriend in the husband's home while he was in the hospital.
I guess my main interest is in the welfare of that sweet little baby. She is soooooo sweet.
I saw where Ben Thompson is going to court in Nassau to get himself declared the legal owner of the house (since he *is* - can you believe he has to do this?) and once that happens, Anna Nicole's alleged "residency" will be null and void, if it isn't already due to the investigations by the opposition pols into the fast-tracking of her "citizenship."
All of this is going to make a big difference in what happens to Dannielynn and what jurisdiction she will be subject to.
Shows you the absurdity of the legal system.

In the 9 years I have known about FR, why is it that in the last few, there seems to be a "when did you join FR" cult that thinks when you signed up suddenly transmogrifies drivel into verbal gold? If grandma says something stupid, her being 89 years old doesn't make it less stupid. It just makes it OLD and stupid.

That is my concern. If I was Virgie I'd hire a really good private detective to spirit that child into the States somehow and have CPS waiting to take her when they arrived in Florida.
Unless.... HK$ greases the right palms. Money makes a huge difference in that country.
Depends on the definition of "buy," I think! LOL, evidently HKS wasn't real good at actually writing the checks needed to pay for things that ANS "purchased."
Yes, there was a "new house" they kept saying they were "building" and which ANS gave a tour of to ET and some other tab TV show - but the tour I saw was of an existing house with rooms already done and ANS was remodeling.
So, I have no idea what the status of that is. Anna Nicole was saying in the tour interview (video'ed 10 days ago) that she had grown to hate the house they had been living in and it had bad memories for her, so she had to get out of there.
(Not to mention the fact that she didn't own it and thought the owner was *giving* it to her for sleeping with him! He didn't "give" it to her and was evicting her!)
Do not call Chief Charlie Tiger stupid, you do not know him, but I do. He was a K-9 Officer, and a Detective in the Hollywood Florida PD for decades, and he is a tough, no nonsense veteran Police Officer who also happens to be a full blooded Seminole Indian. Charlie Tiger is a good police Officer and just because he is not telling you everything you want to know and hear does not make him stupid. If he started spilling his guts telegraphing strategy and evidence to a possible perpetrator that would be STUPID. I have known Chief Tiger for about thirty Years and he is not stupid, he is quite the opposite.
Which court? Dannielynn was born in The Bahamas, altho she is an American citizen as well. If Anna Nicole's alleged "residency" can be overturned, then maybe the US has a chance to get Dannielynn, legally.
That's mind-boggling.
If he's not the father, he has no more right to whisk that child away to unknown places than her makeup man or her butcher.
He's a desperate man now that his treasure trove is dead and with no clients in his dormant law practice.
Who knows what he is capable of doing at this chaotic time. He can use this chaos to his advantage. He may be planning to go with the baby to a country with no extradition treaties.
Right now, I think LE in both Nassau and Florida are befuddled or arguing as to who has authority/jurisdiction over Stern when he's on the lam with the infant.

HK$ has had this thing buttoned up for a long time. I'd be surprised if he left an open loophole.
