Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Shep is lovely in lavender....
Did I miss anything good? Has the baby been located? Has the Prince been outed?
Entertainment Tonight. The last time I watched that show John Tesh and Mary Hart were hosting it.
Enbtertainment Tonight = ET
I just found it while it was ending and was shocked to see MAry HArt is still hosting it.
Except, wasn't she pretty messed up before he died? Maybe that just pushed her over the edge...with a little shove from HKS.
Please report anything new - I am on Nanny 911 for a break.
No, no, no, on suicide. I am dismissing almost everything said by the friends who HKS allowed to have.
The whole thing is sad, but I'm not going to fall forthe syrup now. Real friends do NOT enable drug use.
I know John Tesh doesn't host it anymore. He found a career in music.
I think that is a likely possibility.
Does Assistant Commissioner Reginald Ferguson know something or is this 2 different stories? Texkat asking here.

Answers are still needed
The strain and trauma is over for Anna Nicole Smith but it will probably be many months before her name will be given a rest. She died yesterday in Hollywood, Fla, under circumstances that brought her name afresh before the news media of the world.
Anna Nicole Smith had undergone a tumultuous five months following the death of her 20-year-old son Daniel Smith on Sept 10 at Doctors Hospital, where she had given birth to a baby girl three days earlier. A private pathologist, hired by her, disclosed that the son died from a combination of methadone and two antidepressants in his system.
A coroner's inquest is yet to be held to determine the exact cause of death. Her troubles mounted after she left the hospital and moved into the Eastern Road sea front home Horizons, for which ownership came into dispute when North Carolina developer Ben Thompson claimed to be the owner of the property, as Ms Smith had allegedly reneged on paying the money that he had loaned her to secure the property and consequently permanent residency status in The Bahamas.
It also caused a ruckus in the Immigration Department where Minister Shane Gibson "fast tracked" the permanent residency application, which was said to be the result of the "improved efficiency' of the department.
But it didn't end there, as the paternity of her baby daughter, Dannielynn, remained a matter of dispute. The birth certificate lists the father as attorney Howard K Stern, Smith's most recent companion. However, Larry Birkhead, Smith's ex-boyfriend, is claiming to be the father and is waging a legal challenge to have DNA testing.
The former Playboy centerfold was no stranger to controversy, having married 89-year-old oil tycoon J Howard Marshall II, in 1994, she got into a feud with stepson, E Pierce Marshal, when the old man died a year later in 1995, with regard to whether she had a right to his estate. She waged a legal battle for his fortune all the way to the US Supreme Court.
Prior to yesterday the name of Anna Nicole Smith was beginning to figure prominently in the arsenal of opposition politicians as the 2007 general election campaign begins to heat up.
There is nothing to suggest that it will end with her death because there are still many questions that have yet gone unanswered and regardless of who lives or who dies, they will ultimately have to be answered.
Perception is reality
It is true that police officers are being transferred all the time and the transfer of Assistant Commissioner Reginald Ferguson will not be the last time a senior officer will be transferred, said National Security Minister Cynthia Pratt, as she asked what is so special about the transfer.
What is so special about the transfer is exactly what the people of this country will have to be told by the relevant authorities, recognizing that the public's perception is the reality.
Mr Ferguson is the principal officer with responsibility for crime, and the only person that admitted to being aware of the year-long drug smuggling investigation at the Lynden Pindling International Airport.
He was in a position to inform the political directorate of what was happening - if they didn't know - which it is claimed they didn't. And so, given all that has happened since the time that the five baggage handlers had gone on a training course and were arrested in Florida, the transfer will be perceived to be a result of that. The perception is the reality regardless to how it is explained otherwise.

Daniel Smith, the 20-year-old son of Anna Nicole Smith, died suddenly in the Bahamas on Sunday, three days after the former Playboy Playmate gave birth to a girl, according to a statement from Smith's attorney.
Reginald Ferguson, assistant commissioner of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, tells PEOPLE Daniel was visiting his mother at Doctors Hospital when he was found in her room at about 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
"He was found in a condition of non-responsiveness," Ferguson says. "I am not certain who made the alarm, and doctors were called in but he was pronounced dead."
Ferguson says police officers were called to the scene, but there was no evidence of foul play: "There were no signs of violence to the body and there has been no sign of any unusual activities in the room that he was in."

There's no escaping the fact that HKS is the enabler that gave her that push over the edge.
If ET has an "exclusive" interview with HKS, why are they holding it until Monday?
What you saw on ET, was a clear and complete publicity piece put out by HKS.
Just curious if the Seminole Hard Rock comps high rollers. Probably. Entertainment is often tossed in.
Dear Lord.
Here's my take on ET. Just my humble opinion.
I feel badly for her too but trust me ET has it's own motives. They know by not looking into the negatives and only reporting what Stern wants them to report they can get him to come on and by doing that they can get the ratings.
They have been tough on Birkhead hinting that he's just an opportunist but if that's the case why didn't they just do the DNA test? They also are trying to paint Anna's mother and family in a bad light. That's why they showed that interview of Anna saying to her mother to bring it on. They won't even touch the accusations against Howard K. Stern...Mark Steines will do the faux concern after the interview and then throw it back to Mary Hart who will move on to Justin and ScarJo and their hot new video after the commercial break.
The clip that I saw, she was clearly in control of the whole situation, and HKS basically stood there like an idiot even when she told him to get out of her face. She was trying to fix Christmas dinner, and he was in her way.
