Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

I'm afraid there won't be any who would know, only that old BF of Anna's that Daniel lived with, who is much older.

Also, I wouldn't count on The Bahamas having much money to send people for long periods of time to get answers to something they didn't want to do in the first place.

It's not like they would hire PI's to get any deeper, either - as someone here in the US would. (Hint, hint, The Donald!) (Ugh.)

Just to clarify - I don't use any genealogy websites for online crime sleuthing, except in a few rare cases when it's a long-term thing and I have loads of time to do it.

I prefer to use public FREE db's so that anyone else can verify what I've found (or not found). Saves a lot of headaches. Been doing it for a long time and have a good track record (former journalist, but none of those resources anymore) - but I'm not a genealogist per se.

I do forensic family trees where I can and have even outfoxed some tabs with my findings. That won't happen in this case, tho - or probably any more in the future. I used to enjoy it, but now it's pretty boring.

I don't care enough about HKS to spend much time on him and he flies under the radar, anyway.

Federal laws changed in 2001-2002, where much of the info we used to be able to use is no longer available online.
