Posted on 02/08/2007 12:39:03 PM PST by kcvl

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

It's funny because a couple friends and i were emailing each other the other day about what our idiosyncracies are. And one of mine is that all the things in the cupboard have their place. Soups bottom shelf right side. Flour top shelf right side. And on and on. When i go to my moms house i organize all her cans in order. It drives me crazy. I'm nuts. There's a place for everything and everything in it's place =)))

No matter, the 10 carat rock is personally his. That's a given.

You mean he bought it for her (with her money, no doubt), or that he gave it to her and now it's his?

I wrote about this a long time back because I had found an exception "at sea" which requires a license to be filed AFTER the ceremony.

Then I started thinking about "committment ceremonies" today and the recognition of them by some, in fact, many jurisdictions using the term "domestic partnerships". We recognize them in some of our Towns, in particular, Brighton, NY, a suburb of Rochester, NY....very liberal (Dem) territory.

I kinda thought this would occur because the "committment ceremony" was toooooo complex. Again, the TMI MO of Howard.

I wonder if the ex-nanny would know if there was botulism toxin in the house.

Perhaps because Larry & ANS cohabited in South Carolina for 30+days and could have been considered to have had a common law marriage.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common-law_marriage

South Carolina
The criteria for a common law marriage are: (1) when two parties have a present intent (usually, but not necessarily, evidenced by a public and unequivocal declaration) to enter into a marriage contract; and (2) "a mutual agreement between the parties to assume toward each other the relation of husband and wife." See Tarnowski v. Lieberman (S.C. Ct. App. 2002). The minimum age for such a marriage is fourteen years old as established by South Carolina Code of Laws 20-1-100 (2004). ***this section needs updating. the reference actually says all marriages entered into by persons under the age of sixteen are null and void ab initio*** For this law to apply the minimum time the couple have lived together continuously had to have exceeded 30 days

You said Jacke Hatten shouldn't be considered credible since her brother is in jail for stalking.

This is from an interview with Rita Cosby on Feb 14. The first part is Rita's lead in to the story, the rest is Neven.

"About ten years ago Anna Nicole Smith came to the Bahamas because she was dating and eventually modeling for fashion mogul Peter Nygard. Then when she came back here for the birth of her daughter, she reunited with this couple,[Gibson & Neven] because they met her first with Peter Nygard, then they saw her again just recently. They went on boats with her, spent a lot of time with her and eventually became essentially her adopted parents, Brigitte Neven and Eric Gibson then went up to Florida last week and they were planning to go back on the yacht with Howard K. Stern and Anna Nicole Smith. But when they arrived on Thursday morning they realized that things were horribly wrong. Brigitte Neven arrived in that Florida hotel room and saw Anna Nicole napping, what she thought was napping. Then after about an hour and a half, she thought it was a long nap and eventually went to check on Anna Nicole Smith and realized something was very, very wrong at this point, this is what she saw.

Neven: When I looked at her I knew something was wrong instantly because there was no…..when people sleep the chest rises and falls and she was just lying there. And I thought, ‘that can’t be…there is something not right’. And I tried to……her jaw had dropped ….I tried to push it shut and….it, it wouldn’t. And I said, “You got to come here, something’s wrong” and she said, “what do you mean?” And I said please, and then everything, you know, just happened so quick. She tried to do CPR, she put the pillow away and started CPR and I rubbed her feet, and she tried to put some water in it but she couldn’t find a pulse and then she called Mo and he called 911.

I have never seen a story that says what Eric Gibson was doing that morning. EVER.

I thought Shelby said he came and went over that period of time and he wasn't there the entire time?

I don't think that will fly.

Oh, I felt just the opposite - that he was trying to do anything at all to make it NOT be a homicide.

I do that also, for self preservation so that I can find things. That is because I have large supplies of food in case of emergency.

It's a California thing, since I grew up there and we were always aware of the earthquake threat.

However, this guy in the movie was obsessive about having to have the cans so many inches apart etc. Adding that to his obsession and control issues plus abusive behavior made him a very evil guy. Which brings me back to our subject, he spoke verrrrrrrry slowly and didn't blink. :) I'm trying to remember if his occupation was that of a lawyer or not. lol

>>>10-12 pounds!!! At 6 months old??>>>

That falls in line with the first nanny's story of underfeeding...

Seriously, my daughter was 10-12 lbs at about that age. Of course she is five now and wieghs a whopping 32 lbs. Wears a size 7 INFANT shoe and is typically re-routed to preschool section of school and has to insist she is KINDERGARTENER!! BUT, I am not ANS and I am not 6' tall. Her father is 5'5 and I am 5'. So it makes much more sense that we Irish folk had us a little Leprechaun (even has the little pointy ears the cutey bug) Not a 'giant' like ANS's offspring though.

Wow, I remember when we couldn't eat canned tuna for a long time because of botulism. Sometime in early 1960s.

What's your basis for thinking that?

Here's how i see it. He's just coming into the national spotlight. A lot of people think Anna was murdered and aren't gonna let this go. Now if you're just coming into the spotlight and you have dreams of becoming the next Cyril Wecht or Dr. Henry Lee, you need to start off on the right side. On the prosecution side. Theeeen you've earned some credibility and can turn around and become a high paid expert witness for the defense later.
