Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
What does it matter anyway? Those are just ashes. They aren't him. Where his soul is is what matters. Same with Anna.

This has to be O'Quinn's suggestion. He does NOT want to lose. He wants to say to the public, to opposing lawyers, to the Florida judge, "See I told you so!"

MIAMI -- A private plane carrying Anna Nicole Smith's body left Friday for the Bahamas, where the pinup model will be laid to rest after weeks of legal wrangling over the burial site.
The flight left with her casket after authorities escorted a black hearse to Miami International Airport, as news helicopters tracked the procession from the medical examiner's office in Fort Lauderdale. The plane is headed to the Bahamian capital of Nassau for a burial later in the morning.
But the funeral might not bring an end to the saga: her estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, will likely try to get the body out of the Bahamas, said her lawyer, Tom Pirtle. He would not elaborate about possible legal action.
"We are not exactly sure what shape it is going to be," Pirtle said Thursday in a telephone interview, just hours after saying Arthur had decided to drop her legal challenges in Florida courts.
The funeral is to take place later Friday at the Mount Horeb Baptist Church in Nassau, and she is to be buried at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens, said Richard Milstein, the court-appointed advocate for Smith's 5-month-old daughter Dannielynn. A judge gave him control of the starlet's remains.
Both services are closed to the public, Milstein said in a statement issued Thursday by a public relations firm. He didn't return phone messages left at his office and on his cell phone seeking additional comment.
Smith's Feb. 8 death in a hotel room at age 39 set off legal disputes in California, Florida and the Bahamas. Her boyfriend, mother and an ex-boyfriend have argued over who should get the body and who should take custody of Dannielynn, who could inherit millions of dollars.
Dr. Joshua Perper, the Broward medical examiner, said he will announce Smith's cause of death next week.
"This was a complex case," Perper said. "It was an unusual case from a medical point of view."
Smith will be buried in a tiara and custom-made, beaded gown next to her 20-year-old son Daniel following an "over the top" memorial service, said a friend helping to organize the memorial.
The service, with about 300 guests, will feature large amounts of pink flowers, her favorite color, and music by a well-known singer whose name organizers were not ready to disclose, said the friend, Patrik Simpson of Beverly Hills, Calif.
"It will be a very beautiful, Anna Nicole send-off," Simpson said Wednesday night in the Bahamian capital of Nassau. "Of course it will be over the top because it's Anna Nicole."
The burial at Lakeview Memorial Gardens will be much more intimate, with about 30 people, he said. Arthur, boyfriend Howard K. Stern and ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead will temporarily put aside their differences to attend the services.
Ron Rale, an attorney for Stern, would not disclose any funeral information.
"We want her to have a beautiful funeral, something she would have wanted," Rale said by telephone from the Bahamas.
Arthur had wanted to bury Smith in her native Texas, and fought last week's ruling from Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin that gave control of the body to Milstein.
But Stern insisted the former Playboy Playmate wanted to be buried next to Daniel, who died of apparent drug-related causes last year. Milstein agreed.
On Wednesday, a Florida appeals court upheld Seidlin's ruling.
Perper said after the appeals court ruling that he was not sure if Smith's body would be suitable for a viewing. He had told Seidlin during the hearing that she was decomposing.
Perper said embalmers would have to take another look at the body. Stern, Arthur and others have already viewed the body at Perper's office.
Smith married Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II in 1994 when he was 89 and she was 26. The reality TV star and Playboy Playmate had been fighting his family over his estimated $500 million fortune since his death in 1995.

BILLY SMITH, who divorced the model/actress in 1993, filed a motion in the Bahamian Supreme Court on Thursday (01MAR07), reports the New York Daily News.
Billy's attorney KARA BUTLER says in court papers, "We have been instructed and hereby formally request permission to have the remains of Daniel Wayne Smith (deceased) exhumed from its current location here in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and be transferred where his father and family resides in the state of Texas." The development could affect the funeral of Anna Nicole, which is scheduled to take place at Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums on Nassau later today (02MAR07). Anna Nicole's body has left a Florida morgue in preparation for flight to Bahamas in the last few hours.
If the Bahamas' Chief Magistrate ROGER GOMEZ agrees to consider Billy's application, Anna Nicole's estranged mother VIRGIE ARTHUR may attempt to delay the service.

The owners of the land on which Anna Nicole Smith's funeral will take place later this morning are charging the press up to $5,000 per camera to attend. Sandy Port Development owns the land on which the Mount Horeb Baptist Cathedral stands in Nassau, the Bahamas.
Local and international press agencies have been told by Sandy Port Development's Neale Jones they must pay $2,000 per still camera and $5,000 per live news camera to enter the area where the church is in order to cover Smith's funeral service.
Press will not be granted entry to the church area unless they sign a contract and complete the credit card information area to pay Sandy Port Development.
After the service, Smith will be buried next to her son Daniel at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums.

Too bad you're missing the Couey trial. It's been good so far. Mark Lunsford was staring at Couey the entire time. Never took his eyes off the guy for a minute.
Then of course CNN radio reported how upsetting it was to see that and someone else said they're concerned that Mark might jump across the room and lay into Couey.
Just because Mark Lunsford is a humble Southern man the media has to go after him somehow. I feel so badly for that man. Even my husband was saying how sad it was as he watched part of it with me. The grandmother on the stand....Uhhhh.. I nearly cried. The only time i've cried at a CourtTV trial was when they'd play that video of Lacy Petersons mother talking about how much she misses her daughter. No matter how many times they replayed that video, i still cried.

By Sunday I will have a wild rice,smoked chicken,sun dried tomato, cucumber salad with tons of lime juice and tobasco...IOW I will be starving for solids.
But the fasting broth twice a week with tons of water keeps my blood from getting to sticky.
