Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Can you imagine how Virgie feels? Some total stranger has played God with the body of her daughter. Such a shame - she is the victim once again in this family tragedy.
And hopefully TrimSpa, ET, etc. etc. will not get to do a "funeral extravaganza" production..
Well, as expected The Insider today was a Howie lovefest. Poor, poor Howie, with the black circles around his eyes now.
Reminds me of the scary bird handle on Mary Poppins' umbrella. (I'll try to find a small pic for those not familar. Looks like a jabberwocky or something.)
Let's see ... what was said ... it was all blah blah blah to me. (I missed the intro segment on ANS, as I figured they would try to fool me again so I made a pit stop and walked back in as they were finishing something about the paternity suit - argh.) Big build-up to Howard and the Tox report!
Couldn't imagine why they let him see it before the public - they've been teasing this for days. Well, what he actually said *only to The Insider," of course - oh, and ET, too, I'm sure - was "I don't care what the report says, Anna Nicole died from being without her son."
That's it. He didn't address lupus, even tho asked about it and he spoke verrrrrryyyyy slowly, enunciating eeeaaach wooorrrdd foooorrrr some kind of weird emphasis.
Oh, sorry - I forgot - before that, they showed Virgie driving up with her attys and bodyguards in a big black SUV to Horizons and going in.
Then they cut to Howard saying there is no way in hell he would ever let "Arthur" touch the baby. Then back to Virgie walking in with the group. Then back to HKS, saying "she" wanted him to wake the baby up! How dare she! And he refused. He said "Arthur" just stood there and stared! And he thought that was strange!
Oh, for other emphasis, they let us know that The Insider was the only one allowed inside during this time (but no pix of Virgie "inside" were shown, only the interview with HKS). If they paid him for THIS, he needs to be thrown in jail.
Then they showed her crying as she left a few minutes later.
GAGAGAGAGGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGGGGG!
Adding: Inside Edition is on now - much more sympathetic to Virgie, showing her crying when leaving - being helped by bodyguards - having trouble breathing.
So help me, if Stern gives Virgie a heart attack, as he seems to be trying to do, that's the last straw. Anyway, she did fly back to Miami today, so she's OK. Now they're on toe Birkhead's early years. They're saying he had a nose job!
I agree, the custody battle is the important fight. Does this mean it can't be appealed to the Florida Supreme Court?
Here's an interesting article on the Marshalls. I found it interesting that ANS may have died from something very similar to what Pierce died from. Is this drug-resistant pneumonia?
Mr. Marshall's personal battle over his inheritance ended June 20 when he died unexpectedly of septic shock brought on by a combination of drug-resistant staphylococcus and streptococcus.
There is that ET contract. If HKS is smarter than he is greedy, than he'd better tell them to back off.

That is misleading. Obviously Pierce Marshall's "personal" battle over his inheritence ended when he died. Everything ended for *him* when he died. However, the lawsuit continues with his wife, Elaine, taking over where he left off. However, I believe the SC left the ball in ANS' court to continue the action. Now one of her legal heirs will have to take over for ANS the way Elaine did for Pierce. Dannielynn is the only one in that position...hence he/she who has custody of the baby has custody of the lawsuit.
I had a friend who had MRSA aka MERSA. That sounds like MERSA to me. It's a very fast growing epidemic and one of the top infectious diseases that the Centers of Disease Control are concerned with right now.

Oh, thanks for reminding me. At the end of The Insider, they showed pix of ANS lying down with eyes closed, a coffin, some flowers - and said tomorrow, The Insider takes you inside Anna Nicole's funeral, with an exclusive look at the dress she's wearing, what has been placed inside the coffin with her and a few other things like that.
They spoke as if the funeral had already taken place (even tho it hasn't - that's just TVspeak when they don't know for sure if they'll have footage of an event or not) and they had filmed the whole thing! This is despicable Howie stuff!
Isn't that what was running rampant in hospitals?
