Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Posted on 02/08/2007 12:39:03 PM PST by kcvl

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Did the judge just rule that paternity has to be decided in the Bahamas, is that what I heard?

(Desperately trying to catch up here.)

It's possible....but then again.....The fact that he contacted Howard's family tells me there are other possibilities. The problem is "selectively" putting parts of the diary out and using them as evidence against Virgie. I remember the Everyone Loves Raymond show....where Ray wrote: I hate Mom" in code.

The Florida judge did. There is still a CA judge who wants paternity decided here, I think......I'm just getting back this morning also.

BTW, welcome back!!

Greta is too smart to give Mo so much free air time (and indirectly stern)other than for entertainment purposes. However for sober purposes, it gave us a good look at a liar that would be destroyed within 30 seconds under oath in a cross-exam. Just about anyone on this forum could wreck him up. LOL

The pages they were talking about are going into her sisters book, though. So if anyone is going to make Virgie look bad in this instance, it's her own daughter(s).

There are no settlements in criminal cases.

Well, that's not necessarily true as criminals plead to lesser offenses all the time. However, that is irrelevant as to what I was talking about. HKS's case against the hotel would be a CIVIL case and a majority of those cases do settle out of court. Anyway, I am not saying HKS's case would have any merit, I am merely saying that I wouldn't be surprised if HKS filed one and then settled out of court.

Probably has more to do with the age when someone can sign legal documents. I'm sure Funeral Parlors make you sign contracts and the purchase of a stone would be by contract.

I wish I could say it is good to be back, but it's NOT; this was my view until yesterday afternoon:

Gorgeous! I was there for my honeymoon - not that hotel, but St. John. Memories......

Welcome back to the "real" world (such as it is in the ANS fantasy land).

I think that once she is buried and paternity is proven, Virgie and Larry as the bio father (if that is the case) can have the remains of both removed to the USA. I'm certain they can reach agreement on a USA site. In the meantime, we have to live the guardian ad litem as the person who took the rights of "fatherhood" and "Husband" away from Howard.

OK, but in that scenario, who will open her probate/estate and where?

How often do people go to court over "dead bodies"? Only the rich or famous. Howard is milking this for all it's worth.

Her will has nothing to do as to where she is buried unless it is specifically mentioned. It's about her assets and liabilities. Howard went at her three ways....Executor, father, husband.

The father one might be the best because you are not responsible for your parents debts.

But that might also cause a problem since Old man Marshall made explicit intent toward Anna and Anna alone. So the houses and gifts go to Anna's estate but not necessarily the Marshall money.
