Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
NATIONAL ENQUIRER EXCLUSIVE: PNEUMONIA KILLED ANNA NICOLE SMITH, PRELIMINARY FINDINGS INDICATE
This time, the painkillers Anna Nicole was taking masked her symptoms and quickened the deadly effects of the pneumonia.
All the details are in the next issue of The ENQUIRER.
Stern certainly contributed to her death by procuring all those drugs for her. I believe Stern could be found guilty in the same way that Elvis' doctor was convicted.
Thanks-I was just about to post the same thing.;)
Why, oh why, did she not go to the hospital, and why couldn't her friends just insist and take her anyway, she must have been weak and sick, it's not like she could have fought them off.
Sad.
If they were preparing for a legal battle, is it possible he was trying to get her off the drugs-in case of a drug test?
If Anna died because of pneumonia and actually had a fever of 105, then why didn't Howard take her to the hospital? Any spouse would get medical care...
Possibly because her body was loaded with perspcription drugs and she didn't want that known.
We got him to a doctor and luckily, the medicine cleared it up. But all they had to do was listen to him breath to know what the problem was.
So if a Hotel doctor had visited her and prescribed medicine, he wasn't a very good doctor.
MSNBC reporting that a doctor is concerned that the baby may have been born with drugs in her system and may have a neurological problem...
That's what we've been saying here...
Sounds just like death was avoidable, like Jim Henson's... if only he went to the hospital or to a doctor.
Yea, Anna's temp was 105? Even at 103, it's cause for concern! Obviously, an infection....but "she didn't want to go to the hospital." You seek help! I blame HKS and every one of her helpers. They didn't want the drugs to be found out. They are all responsible for her death.
My father was having chest pains at the age of 50. We told him we were going to take him to the hospital. He was so opposed to it that he said, "Oh, no you're not. I'll jump out of the (second story) window before I go to the hospital." He was so scared.
I'll never forget that. So we called an ambulance. Diagnosis was myocardial infarction. He pulled through to live another 22 years with the aid of Coumadin, an anticoagulant.
Okay. I'm done with The View. Rosie just swaww to gawd and she and Joy just went ballistic on Elisabeth about her age, President Bush, military coffins, algore's environmentalism and the Partiot Act. This is one of the reasons why I keep cooming back to this thread.
Exactly right...The ME needs to get that report out ASAP.
Great! HKS will now sue the hotel and the doctor for negligence.....on behalf of DL, of course.

What are the symptoms?
Symptoms of pneumonia caused by bacteria usually come on quickly. They may include:
* Cough. You will likely cough up mucus (sputum) from your lungs. Mucus may be rusty or green or tinged with blood.
* Fever.
* Fast breathing and feeling short of breath.
* Shaking and "teeth-chattering" chills. You may have this only one time or many times.
* Chest pain that often feels worse when you cough or breathe in.
* Fast heartbeat.
* Feeling very tired or feeling very weak.
When you have mild symptoms, your doctor may call this "walking pneumonia."
Older adults may have different, fewer, or milder symptoms. They may not have a fever. Or they may have a cough but not bring up mucus. The main sign of pneumonia in older adults may be a change in how well they think. Confusion or delirium is common. Or, if they already have a lung disease, that disease may get worse.
Is there such a crime as negligence.
I still want the scum sucking drug feeding leech needs to be charged and serve time.
Yep, yet another way drugs rule the lives of those who use them.
But, but...Howard only gave her the drugs because she was in so much pain and so depressed because of Daniel and couldn't stand that. "I only wanted her to be happy", said Saint Howard.
I would like to add the word PARASITE to that.
