Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

We did some excellent work on the Scott Peterson case. But it was the hand of God who constructed the world and the human body in such a way that it would surface despite the bonds placed by a mortal "evil" man.

That's about as philosophical as I can get. I hardly understand the workings of the universe but I do believe in the hand of God. He leaves so many questions. But suppose Anna had never died. She was a prisoner of a clever, wicked man and in time (as we have already seen) the baby would become the same. With her death, all his wickedness is being revealed.

I pray for Virgie and Larry. I do believe they are the two people we know that loved her and wanted "good" for her.

Bingo. That's what I believe also. Mo hasn't described the ice bath, in exactly this way before. But others, including her dear friend Dr. Kris Ershovitz, said that she had taken a "fall" in the bathtub. (These accounts came out the first week.) A few days ago it occured to me that the ice bath and the fall were the same event.

I think we have to define "nurse". A real nurse or a "nursemaid". My aunt was a LPN and took care of old people in their home. Not unusual. Where's her license?? I have a feeling she's not a real nurse at all. A real nurse would put in an immediate call for help....and that would mean calling the desk FIRST at the minimum with a request for 9-11. She calls hubby. He runs over. Then calls Howard. Then calls desk????? Makes no sense at all.

Howard planned to be away at exactly this time. Funny, he was "nearby" in both deaths.

Uh oh. If the rumor out there about her having a seizure is true it would take a thorough investigation to get to the truth. And that could explain the fever story.

Altho, nurses and doctors help me out here, if a seizure is caused by a fever does it usually occur during the fever, not the next day?

Immigration minister Shane Gibson stepped down after John Marquis, managing editor of the Bahamas daily The Tribune, published pictures showing him in close embrace with Anna Nicole in the bedroom of her luxury home in Nassau, the country's capital.
The editor, a former West Country editor, has been threatened with court action by lawyers who allege the photographs were stolen from Anna Nicole's Nassau home after her sudden death in Florida earlier this month.
But John said the pictures came from a "very reliable source" - and that he published them because of their possible political implications over Anna Nicole’s bid for Bahamian residency.

What would be the benefit of "pre-dating" her time of death? That would only prove that she had been dead for a longer time and that all in her care were more negligent. Seems that it would work against them.

I don't know that it would fool investigators. There's probably a way they can tell the difference betweeen a cold body which has been dead for some time and a cold body that has been on ice. Altho it could be that's what the crew had in mind (to predate the death to an earlier time). And remember Anna's mouth was stiff and wouldn't close as in rigor mortis already. Does ice hinder this process or help it? Or was was it not rigor mortis at all? Or was the ice bath done when Anna was already dead for some reason? I wonder if there is any medical justifiable for doing that which "they" knew about. For instance does it slow down the "death process" for lack of a better term? Which would then put the death at a later time, plenty of time for Stern to get out to the boat and the crew to stage the scene. Then again i haven't had any coffee so maybe none of this makes sense.

You raised good questions and that starts the wheels a turning and yet more questions....Is there a doctor in the house who can help us understand what this ice bath might be all about?

In reference to the frenzy going on in the Bahamas, I just spoke to a woman on Friday who recently went there on vacation. She and her husband found their way to ANS's house and were part of the crowd scene. A huge money maker for the Bahamas!
