Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
It's among the stuff we posted about on the Daniel threads and may be somewhere at the start of this thread. I didn't keep notes until ANS's death.
These are Hollywood celebrity, pill-pushing doctors. Been going on as long as I can remember. IT was the studios that got Judy Garland hooked on drugs, I cannot remember, but I believe Marilyn's started the same way.

You can't calculate the due date accurately. Nobody can other than ANS. Again we have the problem that she was such a big liar. All calculations are guesswork because of that. So far as I know, a 6 pound baby is considered to be a full term baby in the US when the time of conception is not clear--but again that is just guess work WRT ANS' baby.
I'm dismayed that so many of ANS relatives are swathed with tattoos of her and I know many worked for her when she was married to Marshall and she accused them of stealing from her. One aunt has been selling pictures of her to the tabloids just as HKS has been doing... IF larry is her biological father, there is no question in my mind she should be with and raised by her father.
I believe it was part of the testimony last week. I watched his testimony gavel-to-gavel and they covered this pretty thoroughly.
Actually--ultrasounds are very accurate in calculating the due date.

Ashley Judd settles lawsuit

HOLLYWOOD - Co-defendants Ashley Judd and Entertainment Tonight have settled a lawsuit with reporter Larry Birkhead out of court, The Associated Press reports. The Louisville-based freelance entertainment writer accused Judd of making libelous remarks on ET about an article Birkhead wrote for USA Today. The suit, filed in the Jefferson County Court, asked for punitive and compensatory damages. The amount of the settlement was not reported. "I'm happy with the settlement, and it's a relief that it's over," Birkhead said.

My bad, I was talking about the ultrasound and the second one LB was supposed to attend and then she split to the South East.
Birkhead testified that the doctor said he could place date of conception within three - four days based on the ultrasound.
Oh goodness AAID, sorry. I'm not telling you what to think or write...yours was the last post on the subject.
We have all taken the liberty of speculating and some very intriguing ideas exist as a result....but there were a few snarkys scattered about on the "substitute baby" question.
So many posts and so little time...I shall be more careful.

The death of Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel Smith was caused by a lethal combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro, according to pathologist Cyril Wecht. Wecht was hired by Smith to conduct a second autopsy on her son and revealed the results from toxicology tests yesterday. The pathologist told American publication People the drugs caused the cardiac dysrhythmia that led to Daniel's death. Zoloft and Lexapro are both classified as anti-depressants, while methadone is used to treat heroin addiction. The toxicology results were conducted by National Medical Services in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania and released on Wednesday

Question from TaurusPA: Hello Michel, on CTV last night, Cyril Wecht seemed to make light of the fact of these other pills. He sounded like he was saying they wouldn't contribute to death. Do you agree? Or what other facts are you hearing?
Michel Bryant: He may be right about the total impact of these additional drugs. But, the most important fact is that Dr. Wecht never made public the fact that additional drugs were in Daniel's system until we confronted him with the story. Let me give you a tip as to the future of this story and the drug element. You can expect that the methadone (which even Dr. Wecht never quantifies) will be the drug that killed Daniel Smith.
Court TV Host: Didn't Dr. Wecht say that your source was wrong - that those other drugs were not present, correct? Is there going to be a battle of the experts - and how would that likely be resolved?
Michel Bryant: Wecht is a slippery guy. He first denied there were other drugs then went on to name them. He actually named all four and refused to name another that he says were found in "trace" amounts and might prove to be embarrassing to the family. So there will be battle of the experts because the drug amounts and identities will be clear once the Bahamian authorities provide their report. The only issue will be what combination, if any, caused the death. And is there one drug over another that was the predominate cause of death?

On her reality show, both her and Daniel were studying for their drivers permits. Seemed kind of odd at the time - cause ANS always seemed so out of it. I wonder if that was just bs for the cameras?
