Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
You're right. Boats are extravagant. My husband bought one in '91 and was looking at new ones last summer. He didn't get a new one because we live in PA and only get to use it for a few months each year. A decent sized new one costs a lot of money. Howard doesn't deserve a boat.
UC, about the boat. That is troublesome. How was it paid for? Cash? Couldn't Howard have backed out of the deal when Anna died?
I suspect, Stern wants to LIVE on that boat.
And is a "Yacht" that's worth $500,000 docked permanently considered "real estate" in the Bahamas?

The new big boat...That's called money laudering...+ the 10 carat diamond + the rolex. Obviously, Howard was trying to launder $900,000 with the house. The withdrawal must have gotten questioned.
Have to go out! Will check in later for the news...
Sorry i don't know the answer to any of your questions about the boat. I don't know if they paid cash, tho it wouldn't be surprising. I also don't know if it's considered real estate or not. But good questions. Anybody know?
wrt the question of whether or not HKS could've backed out of the deal, my guess would be probably. But this is HKS we're talking about...
So you think HKS wants to live on the boat? That's interesting. What do you mean? Now that she's dead and he has no home?
If you start a new thread please ping me to it-thanks
Good question - did ANS and HKS comply with that provision of Bahamian law? don't know. Maybe others do.
Who said ANS loved boats? Was it HKS? Cuz if it was him then it's a bit contradictory for him to also say that "they were gonna fix this boat up and if SHE liked it they'd get a better one"(paraphrase).
Me too, thanks!
MO said it last night on LKL.
"Imagine the lawyers aren't pleased with their secret meeting."
Barth was interviewed last night along with Rale. She said that Birkhead and Stern are working things out on their own, without lawyers. She thought it was a good idea. (Sure she does)
The malcontents should come over to this thread and express their grievances..:)

I'm with you on that. And I'LL bet HKS liked boats and liked yachts even better. He did say the boat needed to be fixed up. OK, so what that tells me is that he couldn't convince her to go for the one he REALLY wanted.
Gotta go - thanks for all the info being updated to the minute - will check in later tonight.
I wonder what "fixed up" means to HKS??
IF Howard is served with an eviction notice on Monday, where will he go? (I've suspected that is the reason why he an Anna bought the boat to begin with)..
And yes, he could live on that boat. Why not?

I think the lawyers don't want to be present for these discussions (altho they know what is being said) between the two men because there are things being said and agreed to that would'nt be appropriate for a lawyer to be involved with.
As i've said before, i think Birkheads got more incriminating aces up his sleeve on HKS. Stuff worse than the little bit he gave up at the hearing.
For instance, what if Anna told Birkhead in a moment of sobriety that she suspected HKS did have something to do with Daniels death. If I were Barth i wouldn't want to present to hear that one.
Makes perfect sense. Just another premeditated move that goes to the fact that he knew he wouldn't have a home when he returned to the Bahamas.
My thoughts are going into so many directions on this case. Some of the more obvious things are getting by me. ;-)
Interesting...Told ya....Money laundering.
