Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Paternity case for Anna Nicole Smith's baby continues
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Attorneys representing one of the men who claims to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby plan to ask a Florida judge today to take action on her paternity case.
Photographer Larry Birkhead's attorneys plan to ask Florida Family Court Judge Lawrence Korda to either order that a D-N-A sample of Smith's baby girl be collected in the Bahamas or order the baby come to Florida for the D-N-A test.
Smith died in South Florida on February eighth. An attorney for the baby decided yesterday that Smith will be buried in the Bahamas.
Birkhead is one of three men claiming to be the father of the Houston-born Smith's baby. Frederic von Anhalt -- the husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor -- also says he is the father, but the baby's birth certificate lists Smith's long-time companion, Howard K- Stern, as the father.

It's an old blog, but it makes some good points, including one about the commitment ceremony.
Yeah, and Barth knew how it would look to everyone. I noticed (or don't remember if he did) that Rales (the one who sent it) didn't argue that it was a wrong date.
I hope her and Daniel's deaths are being seriously investigated and not just covered up. I hope I am wrong but the ME has failed to impress me. As for Wecht, I am surprised he keeps popping up on the talk shows after his own scandals.
Alerting someone and proving it are two different things. You can walk out of these detox centers as long as you went in voluntarily. He would have wound up getting kicked out.
I'd sure like to see ALL the photos taken during their "commitment" ceremony. The Captain was a "Gibson".
Has anyone determined if the Bahamian consulate has issued the permit to bring the body in? See, I don't think they will, since she wasn't a legal Permanent resident...the immigration minister quit..that scandal is still percolating...so no way, IMHO, the Bahamas government lets the casket into the country.
And how would you "dial" in an emergency? Is 911 pre-programmed in those things, or do you have to do it yourself?
You train it to - when you train it you are not actually dialing the number while you are training mode.
I manually program your phone number into my phone directory. (key punch it in)
I put the phone into Voice Dial training mode. I pull up your number from the phone directory in my phone and I voice record "A Citizen Reporter" to go with your phone number in my phone directory. Now your number is ready for voice recognition dialing.
Once a phone number is trained for voice dial. Then you put the phone into speaker mode by pushing one button on the phone. Then I say "A Citizen Reporter" and it would dial you number for me.
Not all the numbers in your phone will be trained to voice dial unless you manually put in a voice recording for each phone number you have in your phone directory.

Fight For Annas Baby In Nassau Court
By Quincy Parker
While Florida Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin was delivering a ruling giving custody of the late Anna Nicole Smiths body to her daughters legal representative, Bahamas Supreme Court Justice Stephen Isaacs was dealing with another matter involving five-month-old Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern.

So that means that Taz's story makes some sense with respect to not being able to call 911, but being able to call Mo?

Rita is talking about a possible out of court settlement on the DNA.
She goes to an Opri interview who says "I am hoping for an immediate resolution and sometimes, sometimes resolutions come quickly out of court.
A la Natalie Woods.
She says that she had an idea last night when the three went before the mikes and Larry Birkhead said, right in front of Howard, "and hopefully very soon I will be seeing my daughter".....and since he said it in front of Howard, you had to think something was going on.
Rita, Larry Birkhead did NOT say that. Debra Opri said that, and I don't think that LB was very happy that she did. I do think that they were geting to some kind of agreement, and I think that LB was worried about anything blowing it. Including attorney crowing at the wrong time.
Don't be surprised at Cyril Wecht. He's like Dr. Henry Lee, he'll say anything if the price is right. Altho, of late, i haven't seen Dr. Henry Lee much. I believe he's lying low for awhile and he even had that CourtTV show to try and revive his image away from the reputation he was gaining as an forensics specialist who can be bought and paid for. That's all Wecht is too. Whatever talents these two men have, and i don't doubt they know their stuff, they've lost a lot of credibility with their ridiculous assertions on behalf of defendants in cases where everyone knows they're talking out of their arses and the person is guilty as sin.
Barth says that the paternity test was not something that HKS was contesting in the right jurisdiction.
She said just not in Florida.
Oh reheheheallllly!....Good morning citizen.
