Half the FUn (maybe more) of watching the Superbowl is seeing the commercials. Remember, the ad agencies try to put their most creative commercials on during the Superbowl. Therefore, the purpose of this discussion thread will be to analyze today's Superbowl commercials: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
There seems to be a concensus that the best Superbowl commercials were the 1984 Apple commercial introducing the Mac and the original Budweiser frogs commercial.
In the hours leading into tonight's Superbowl, feel free to post your fave (and most hated) Superbowl commercials. Once the game begins, let us have an analysis of this year's Superbowl commercials.
TOPICS: Music/Entertainment; Sports; TV/Movies

PRINCE is very entertaining. And just quirky enough to keep your attention. You know he's a Jehovah's Witness and is known to go knocking on doors! How would you like to be making dinner and have your doorbell ring and find PRINCE outside??? LOL!

Message seems to be that it is OK to be a racist -- so long as you are black.

Makes me want to be in Lafayette, LA tonight.

It's incredible, just how bad these commercials are. No imagination, no humor...Last night they actually had a tv show dedicated to the commercials of the SUPER BOWL and they showed the college competition for the CHEVY ad and all the different ideas the students came up with. The winner was a girl and they promo's the ad, just a teaser. I was looking forward to seeing it today. It was the CHEVY COMMERCIAL with all the guys taking off their clothes...and it just sucked...it was awful.

I agree...the Blockbuster 'Mouse' commercial was the best so far. Need to send a thank you note to the people who did the Snickers' ad...kind makes not want to eat them any more (diet anyone?).
Did I miss F-Fed?

How much did someone have to pay the NFL to associate their name with that POS halftime show?

Well, they certainly are less expensive than their competition -- even today.
Ours was roomy and well equipped but I made the mistake of getting the 4 instead of the 6. (Back then they bought all their engines from Mitsubishi, IIRC). I'd be curious to know what the current quality experience is per Consumer Reports or other such resources.

I get it again for lunch tomorrow and Tuesday.
