Well he had an incredible year, except for the games when he was simply attrocious. The interesting "too much number crunching" stat on Rex is he had the second most games with a QB rating over 100 this year, and also the most games with QB rating below 50. Rex runs hot and cold Maybe he'll get better, maybe he won't, never try to predict the future when it comes to talent it's a fool's bet.

I think The Chargers were sure they were moving on. Before the game I thought LT was a classy guy, but he went out like a b*tch.

What was that cheap BS from Tomlinson which I think I heard from him after the game?

Can you fill me in?

Tomlinson was pissed off that some of the Patriots were taunting and sometimes celebrating (like San Diego players didn't!), then Tomlinson I believe went on to say something about their bad behavior being symptomatic of Belichick's low character.

I saw Tomlinson on Leno a while back and thought he was a great young man. Yesterday he came down about three notches.

What a cry baby.

Apparently some of the Patriots did the Merriman dance.

LOL ......... big deal.

Looks like the Patriots did some dancing ON Merriman too. Merriman got pancaked at least three times.

He had one sack (which I can't remember for some reason) and just two tackles. Matt Light kicked his ass.

I was stunned by what he said. No doubt part of was in the heat of moment of a crushing loss but he needs to do some more growing up.

We need to come up with a name for this game.

The Chargers Neveready Battery Game?

The Diehard Chargers Battery Game?

Well, I tried.

I hope you guys win it all...and the town gets behind Rex. He played a good game yesterday and made some terrific throws. Once my Jints are out of it, it's Da Bears for me and many others here in NY/NJ.

To me it looked like they had to pull him off of two Patriots' players. Looked like more than yelling to me.

That's the way I saw it. To me, it looked like the camera got there even a little AFTER some fighting was done.

How about "the challenge" based on Marty's dumb ass one after Troy Brown forced that fumble?

I know he's a great player...I didn't know he was a sniveling snot sucker.

I learned a lot yesterday too.

I never really knew what an incredibly strong and quick runner he was, and I didn't know what stupid crap can come out of his mouth after a loss, especially about coach Belichick. That was real stupid!

Steeler fan here ...... :-(

To me, it comes back to the Charger intercepting the ball on fourth down and then fumbling it. In high school they teach you, don't intercept on 4th down. Knock it down.

Good point. But with contracts written as they are these days in pro football, maybe he wanted "his numbers" and his $$$$.

Ironically it was one of the few passes SD players actually caught yesterday.

That challenge really heplped to lose that game.

Yes. S.D. lost that one timeout for absolutely nothing. A real foolish challenge.

****

What did you think of the article I sent you about Troy Brown and "The Lateral"? That game killed me!!! We should have had that game.

Stiller fan

Ouch.

By the way, since he began playing, Brady has been my favorite pro player. He is so cool. I love looking at his face during a game. He is one calm and intelligent guy.

But a funny thing ............ yesterday to me, he seemed a little too calm. I really thought he didn't seem to really get into the game until very late. I was watching the game alone and said to myself at the beginning I thought he looked lackadaisical. He looked a little lethargic. I always wonder about the home team's locker room water coolers.

;-)

Anyhow, I never ever saw Tom Brady throw anywhere near as badly in a playoff game like he did yesterday. It was truly weird. Take it from a Steeler fan who has been skewered by Brady's accuracy often, he was "off" yesterday. But being the greatest player in football, he did it when it counted.

****

Hats off to The Great Patriots!

It was Marty being Marty.

As for the Troy Brown play...well they shouldn't have had their FG blocked to begin with.

Brady had a very poor game (partly due to that Charger defense) and yet he made the plays when he had to. I wonder how many other QB's would have attempted (let alone completed) that third down throw to Caldwell that set up the game winning FG?
