I said it before, but the Brady Pats have never beaten a team as good as the one they faced today. Better than any of the NFC teams in the Super Bowl. Better than any AFC title opponent.
I wouldn't go that far, but definately the "Team of the Decade."
No, actually it's not odd at all.
I agree with you; some SD players gave that game away with stupid acts. That guy who had to taunt a Patriot would have spent the last half in the showers if I were the coach. Then the 4th down interception that was fumbled away? STOOPID.
Oh, well. Let's see what Indy does.
The prior series to the Pats game winning one I thought they got away from him way too quickly.
That muff on that punt was bad enough but then he tried to pick the ball up on top of that!! What an idiot!
Before the game, I just knew New England was going to win, I didn't even think about San Diego winning it.
It sure ended up closer than I thought, but the Pats did win the game.
I don't know that those mistakes are because of coaching. Drayton Florence is a good athlete but he tends to lack discipline (as in the head butt penalty) and maybe they need to give him an ultimatium: one more dumb personal foul and you're leaving town. Not falling on a fumbled punt was inexcusable. I would thank Parker for his service and send him on his way to Detroit...lol. I'm taking a hard line tonight, but we gave this game away.
I hope its just a case of shock and disappointment on his part, by the Pats lightning finish, and not his true self.
When Brown forced the fumble I knew they were going to win. It'll go down in NFL history.
Add another one to the list...
TB 12-1 in NFL play-offs...
I know liberals who say Clinton was the best president ever; I'll put you in with them.
How could that be possible?? We had no more players according to many on ESPN.
It's the risk you run by being arrogant.
That's funny, because I thought SD was going to win all week long and throughout the game, until the 2 point conversion. I thought we'd stop the 2-pt conversion. The dumb mistakes really cost you in the playoffs.
If you were the Chargers, would you cut LT, or try to trade him?
I was surprised that 2 point conversion play worked. I thought for sure they'd jump all over Faulk.
This was a really bitter loss for LT. He works really hard and plays hard and hates to lose. He'll probably apologize to Belecheck but not to the Pats team because they did celebrate a little too much. However, it's a funny coincidence but I found this tape yesterday of SD winning the AFC championship in Pittsburgh in 1995 and SD celebrated big time on Pittsburgh's field. So we can't complain too much.
