Ok folks here's the new thread for the new season.
Jack, please don't teacup the guns.
yeah I remember that...jack roughed him up a bit
before they all watched Edgar die, then split
WHERE'S CHASE!!!!????
is he frozen in carbonite in Jabba the Hut's basement?
all teams: locate Chase and bring him to CTU
HURRY THERE'S NOT MUCH TIME
LIVES ARE AT STAKE
TRUST ME!!!!!
Mary Lynn was interview on the Simon Mayo BBC radio program. It can be found here. You can tell she's not too entralled by the political questions.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/programmes/mayo.shtml
The MLR interview occurs at 20:54:13.
I thought it was interesting that when the interviewers mentioned something about the show being from the Bush school of "good" vs "bad" MLR said how we the viewers like seeing Jack saving the world. And then when they asked her if 24 was conservative, she said not totally since the show has had two African American (and Democratic) presidents and powerful women (although there are powerful conservative women out there as well). Good job staying neutral though Mary Lynn:)
this is a portion of the MLR interview:
"Simon (reading an email from a listener named PJ): 24 is fast paced and its best if you dont think about the details too much. If you actually do, 24 is a promo for the George Bush school of problem solving. We know whos good and bad and well torture and kill anyone because were good and theyre bad.
MLR: well that could be true. But I also think thats what makes it a success. Because as an audience member you hope theres somebody out there like Jack whos trying to save everybody.
Simon: its inately a conservative program?
MLR: Um I dont know if I completely agree with that. but I also understand the point of that. Theres also an African American, its our second President. There are also strong female parts in the show.
later on:
MLR: are we done talking about terrorism and security? Cause I really have a lot to say about that (joking/laughing).
-----
I loved her first answer. Most actors would find that as an opportunity to bash Bush, but MLR said that's the reason we all love 24: cause we want to see a show about a guy who's willing to protect the lives of Americans.
Go Mary Lynn!
Strudel? Or do you mean Cheesecake? Or am I guessing the movie all wrong?
It was strudel, so you must be thinking another movie. The movie I was thinking of is pretty obscure & a couple of decades old, back when Anthony Edwards still had hair.
I watched the 24 special on E! last night. It was nice to see Edgar again, and I of course loved it when Mary Lynn Ryskub (sp) said that this year we'd see Chloe stripping down to a bikini which she would have on under her clothes to foil a terrorist bomb..
I forget the other actor who also added his "spoof" that we could watch for this season.
Place marker....
I am taxing my little brain this morning to try to remember whatever happened to Mandy on 24. She did the big nasty on a plane, then blew up the plane, She gave David Palmer some flesh eating disease, she hooked up with some chick, and it seems like she killed her, then I forget..Is she still alive?
The "24" Powers That Be have said Mandy could always come back if the story fits.
It was James Morrison aka Bill Buchanan.
It was good to see them still teasing one another. It's well known among T&M fans that Reiko and Carlos became really good friends and still are even though they're off "24".
Reiko (About Carlos):
"He was so great to work with. I got on set and met him and you know, first he starts right in with the teasing. I know when he does the interview, hes going to put on some like 'Oh Reiko, shes a diva, I hated working with her.'" *Giggles*
Carlos (About Reiko):
"Reiko, she has this thing. She blinks a lot. She twitches. Shes got a twitch, a nervous twitch, mainly just when she gets around me."
I liked seeing how young Keifer Sutherland looked back in Season One..and his striptease/goofy dance in New Zealand. I was hoping to see the Christmas Tree incident, but, alas...
The interview with Carlos and Reiko was neat, too..
Reiko has great eyes!
here's another interview from Mary Lynn (Chloe) Rajskub's London press tour:

I agree. Can you believe some people are annoyed about the showing a nuclear weapon detonated in LA? They are saying FOX is giving the terrorists ideas. Like they hadn't thought of that already. D'oh! Did they get annoyed with Tom Clancy's Sum of All Fears or any of those kinds of movies? I doubt it.
Here's another very funny interview with Mary Lynn! It's very funny, especially when her dog bites her during the interview!
