A little story on a marriage. When I was a young policeman we had a guy on the force that got married. We knew he was going to Memphis for his honeymoon so, we called some buddies in Clarksdale and put out a all points bulletin on a stolen car, his. He came thru and they arrested him and wife, put him in one cell, wife in the women's cell. This we let go on for about 4 hours and they all laughed and let them out, only the married couple did not laugh. As a few days went by for their honeymoon we had paid for their entire trip with a note in a envelope made my the clerk to them 'congratulations and by the way, can't you take a joke'? Story is, watch your buddies.

After reading Dog's announcement, I started catching up on your posts regarding this matter and saw that you think it will be mid-July.
I'm so happy for you and we'll expect to hear details about the wedding as arrangements are made :-)

My mom still Freeps and I can tell I left myself logged on to her computer - she changes "threads" to "posts" and it then defaults to her stuff on MY COMPUTER !!!
Argh
Last year it took me three months to figure that out.
She hasn't found atrw yet (I don't think).

We think we're too old for a full blast. Maybe a small thingy - close family and friends only? Maybe my old girlfriends, too? We were joking about running away to someplace like Vegas. Then we started thinking it might be a good idea. Who knows - we're still thinking.
Anyway, she's moving in here and selling her place. We'll of course sleep in separate rooms until the union is official.
To: The Raven
LOL. Yeah - sure, sure.
When my husband and I got married, we went small and private. Only family because if we'd invited one friend...
Anyway, we never regretted that decision and were able to enjoy the day without all the unimportant hooplah.

I had the week before Christmas and the week of Christmas off from work and it feels like I've been gone about three months.

As you know, down South, if you want the world to know - you either put the announcement in the paper or you tell your gossipy neighbor.
I told Mary-Ann across the street today - so it should be getting to the Carolinas by tomorrow.

Question:
I haven't watched the news for nearly 3 months. But I'm watching tonight.
When did Charles Krauthammer turn against the war in Iraq? All these pundits are the biggest bunch of weenies the country ever produced. Pathetic. Pathetic. Pathetic.
And now I'm leaving to go and talk with my husband about what a bunch of wusses reside in Washington, DC. I remain convinced there is something in the water :-)

Krauthammer works for the Washington Post. Enough said.
I no longer pay attention to any of the pundits. Fox News is apparently trying to ingratiate themselves to the new democrat Congress. This explains why I have HGTV on right now. I refuse to watch them.
I will have my revenge. We got a postcard that we have been chosen to be a Nielsen family. HAHAHAHAHA!

The Freepathon has just started.

Seriously, I'm very happy for you, Rav...blessings for both of you.
I realize FReeping may dwindle a tad, but stay in touch.
