Very interesting, Cardy! Funny the study (if it's real) doesn't say anything about strokes, cancer, HIV or any of that other fun stuff. I'll take my chances in the USA. We're all gonna bite it someday, might as well have a bit of fun along the way!
I've got a sudden craving for vanilla ice cream with caramel topping...........:)

There's SLEET by my house!
Wow. I remember WAY back, even some details. I wouldn't say that my memory of that time has a lot of continuity, but I do remember quite a few specific things.
I was a tombpy, too. Oh, I did like playing with my Barbies and occasional dress-up, but I loved being outdoors, climbing trees, exploring, playing in the mud and getting dirty. I wasn't a daredevil though.
You remember details? Oh, do tell! :)
My sister-in-laws daughter once told me she remembered the clock and the exact time she was born. Also what the nurses were saying. Personally, I always thought that's just a bunch of hooey. I never told her that though. I can't really remember any "baby" stuff, mostly school stuff. Maybe my brothers tormented me so much, I blocked it out. :)
Were you an only child?
Same here. If it was decent out...and sometimes if it wasn't, I was outside running around. Everywhere was pretty much safe. I mean there were the usual dangers of the woods, but you learn young what to watch out for. I'd roller skate or ride my bike all over the place. We lived in a small little town surrounded by woods and rivers. There was one rule I had. I wasn't allowed to go to the river. Probably wise. There was also talk about the goings on down there...older kids and such. Didn't matter where I was, my mom didn't have any trouble getting my attention. When she would yell, she could scare the birds out of the trees 3 blocks away! And if I wasn't in ear shoit, she had a pretty good idea who to call to get my attention. Nowadays, if kids were allowed the freedom we enjoyed, it would be considered neglect.
You do anything bad? I'm shocked; just shocked I tell you. Not!
That sounds just heavenly. Won't be long now....well, at least not in our neck of the woods. Sharkeyland and Darks' domain have a ways to go.
Dizzying!
Oh, crap, scratch the ice cream! I just heard on the news that it can aid in fertility. Say it isn't soooooooo!
No more ice cream for me..... now I'll have to find something else to live for. :(
I was my mother's only child. I think she looked at me and thought, "better not try that again." I have a half sister 8 years younger than me.
I don't pay much attention to pop culture but as I as listening news a thought occured that that the son to Anna Nicole should be brought to the states and another autopsy be done because one never know if this Stern did both of them end with over doze on drugs.
This dude won't gave a DNA to see who the real father is!
As far a ANS I feel she was a lost soul!
I heard eathing peanut butter is suppose to flatten the tummy!
Not some common ordinary drizzle loving wood eating rodent from Oregon...........
Did I mention he wore an old time Ace flyers helmet?
*waving*
Is that unusual?
Yes. And we're expecting the snow level to be down to 2000' tonight.
Always remember that, in the words of an anonymous writer,
1. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
2. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
3. You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.
4. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
5. You cannot lift the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer.
6. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income.
7. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
8. You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.
9. You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative.
10. You cannot really help men by having government tax them to do for them what they can and should do for themselves.
