The ice and cold, may be my fault.
Shaking uncontrollably, may be my fault but for differing reasons.
Spinning sensation I have been known to be at fault for, but actual spinning... that'd be new.

No, no Darks. I know the spinning, ice thing wasn't you. You're full of mischief, but not evil....despite what you like to try and make us believe. No; we were talking about that the incident coincided with my final car payment.

Ah, well.. yes.
That would likely be my fault as well.

Resty,

I must confess, I have not had a PC dragged as low as yours.

I have had someone keep me current on McAfee software however.

Maybe it can help. It is cheap, not free.

I have never forgotten her - but there is always the first time, when you ask who am I?

It's morning, I don't do mornings. I've also been depressed lately.

Good morning everyone.

I believe I've found my computer problem. Thank you Resty for the links, but so far I haven't needed them but will bookmark anyway.

I discovered that I had a conflict with two AV's. Wow..that is a no no. The computer came with E-Z Armor and it wanted money for the year, so I got a new AV. No..I'm not as cheap as Cardhu, but it's not fun to pay for two puters for a year and only get six months use out of both of them. I did delete EZ first, but failed to see a file still left in a folder.

But...how I found all this out is the best part. In Control Panel there is an Icon for Admin Tools. In there is a nice little thing called Event Calendar. Inside there is Applications. This will tell you everytime you have a crash and what caused it. Mine were almost all security crashes. I dumped the last file I found of EZ Armor, and so far everything looks ok.

My son just sent me a proggie for cleaning up what's left of odd files etc. Some kind of registry cleaner that he trusts me to use...lol, (I hate those things!) so I will use that as soon as he gives me permission to steal his last born if something goes wrong using it.

My fingers and legs are crossed that my puter will be ok now.

Sometimes there are little helpmates in XP that we just don't know we have, until we look hard for them. ;)

Thank you Nully. Now what can we do to cheer YOU up?

I just put a nice big Beef Stew in the Crockpot..and am making fresh bread for supper in my new bread machine.

You could make it just in time if you started packing now....;)

Oh and I still have half of a Pineapple pudding cake with whipped (low fat) cream.
