"With Ships the Sea was Sprinkled Far and Nigh," |
|
|
|
With ships the sea was sprinkled far and nigh, Like stars in heaven, and joyously it showed; Some lying fast at anchor in the road, Some veering up and down, one knew not why. A goodly vessel did I then espy Come like a giant from a haven broad; And lustily along the bay she strode, Her tackling rich, and of apparel high. The ship was nought to me, nor I to her, Yet I pursued her with a lover's look; This ship to all the rest did I prefer: When will she turn, and whither? She will brook No tarrying; where she comes the winds must stir: On went she, and due north her journey took.

It's getting dark here too Null. I think we may get some rain, but it's better than home..as they are expecting a Nor'Easter.
You just get up too early....sometimes. ;)

Well first off, I'm glad to hear all yours are safe and doing well.
That must have been quite frightening being in the Mall and being under siege like that. I can see why people were still hiding in closets for so long. I would have too.
That was quite a thing tho, being so close to where they found a body in the river. Was that an accidental death or "what"?
If I was your daughters age I might do the same thing she's doing. It's getting to be a scary world out there. My oldest son and my SIL have a license to carry, but I'm too old now to give it any thought. Besides..you know me...I may be death on wheels... especially in an electric wheelchair..;)
Yes..I hear you about posting a lot. I have my daughter and grandson coming in a couple weeks..so I'm trying to get things in order for them too. I do hate puter problems tho. I thought I had lost a hard drive, but luckily I think I've worked the bugs out. I still have my fingers crossed tho.

Even worse, they've reported the shooter wandered around the mall for hours before he started shooting.
Who knows, 'dog may have brushed against him that day.

Are you preparing for the snowstorm? I see it's still pretty darned cold up there.

So is mine, for a change. Now I have to worry about it being a little too low.
I'm not complaining yet tho. ;)

Glad to learn your computer is better. Someday you'll have to clue me in on some of your graphic software there.
Living in southeast Mass., we might luck out and end up with no snow after all is said and done. Snow turning to rain is what forecasters think at the moment. Further north and west will get increasing amounts of snow.
However, the way the front is coming in, that forecast could be way off.
Yes, we're laying in supplies and planning on working in tomorrow.
It was 42 yesterday and it's 22 today. 42 felt like summer!!

Except I can't claim IP on the Eye-ron Maiden Not the Iron Maiden as a unit just the sucking spring mounted spikes. There is a market out there at Medieval Fairs for pikes for pacifists. And, of course, in other venues, things which we will not go into on this thread.
DEAL..
Yes indeed Nully, the deal of a lifetime for you. At last you got your pound(s) of flesh.
