think I may try and install Ubuntu and have 3 machines running on one set of hardware. Just to see how far I can push it... ;-)

Memory may be an issue. I'm quite happy with Kubuntu. Those who use a number of systems say Ubuntu has a Mac feel to it; Kubuntu Windows.
