Remote detection satellites are used by the intelligence branch of the military to conduct mind control exercises in the theater of war. All this technology is dependent upon the higher branches of particle physics and quantum mechanics. The array of satellites safe in deep space cover the entire earth making the mind control intelligence program widely successful. Be amazed as you view this military program break out of the box. Go to the following web site that shows a real-time mind control zombie being manipulated by satellite and the military. www.MindControlUSA.com

Now, that's cute!
Snowing now in Alexandria and Falls Church, sticking on the ground, cars, and roofs. Seems to be picking up a bit.

I went to get more supplies.
All junk food, nothing healthy. WooHoo!

Mmm. Junk food!
I don't have any. I've got healthy stuff like milk, applesauce, orange juice, tuna...
How useless.

Donuts, (they aren't going to last long), cookies, candy, bread, milk, (we had to get our share), sausage, soda, poptarts, and so forth.
Hop in your doodlebug and come on over.

Sounds tempting! Especially the part about donuts.
I'm entertaining myself by making my husband's travel arrangements on the internet. He's coming out to visit a few days before I finish my detail, then we're flying back together.
Trying to find a decent hotel at the government rate during the week is laughable! I guess we'll just stay here for a couple of days until the Embassy Suites opens up.

If you can change your flights to BWI, you may find the hotels near our local airport more affordable.
No guarantee. I haven't priced them. But it is an option.
Access to DC isn't bad from BWI.

I've heard that BWI is much better. We'd do that, except that most of what he wants to visit is either south (Quantico) or downtown DC (Smithsonian.)
I'm in a nice location now, and we'll be able to move to the Embassy Suites in Old Town Alexandria for $140 a night for a two-room suite. Pretty decent.
My beloved will just have to suffer for a few days. This hotel doesn't have a liquor license, but I don't drink when I'm out of town so I didn't care. If he gets desperate we can go down the street to Olive Garden and visit the bar. :-)

Donald Rumsfeld briefed the President this morning. He told Bush that three Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq. To everyone's amazement, all of the color ran from Bush's face, then he collapsed onto his desk, head in hands, visibly shaken, almost whimpering.
Finally, he composed himself and asked Rumsfeld, "Just exactly how many is a brazillion?"

Ouch!
We had pretty weather all week, clear but cold, until today: wind out of the north at 27-35, clouds, ick.
I'm glad I'm indoors. And also glad that we don't have to shovel rain...if we get it....

Were they having Carnaval?
Speaking of Carnaval and all things delectable, Starbucks in Detroit is offering paczki in their stores. This is just wrong.

Um...I have no idea what paczki is but if you say it's wrong, it's got to be VERY wrong!
(The car cover I bought two weeks ago as a theft deterrent was stolen last night...now I'm afraid to even park in front of my apartment...)

Starbucks anywhere could offer $10 change for $5 bills and I'd never know it.
