The Dragonflies' Lair~Thread XXXII~

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

No worries. I'm terrible with names as are a few billion other blokes.

Looking good there Lady! Thanks for reminding us.

I think I will stay in today, it's now 10F.

I think the chill is over you as well, eh??

Yikes, I just looked at the thermometer and we are at 10º, too!!

Now I'm wondering if I should change my plans and stay in.

Yupper, then there is the wind chill factor to consider.

Aussies are unquestionably one of our best friends and a wonderful continent of wild people and animals.

In darkest hours of night
I will be there for you
even though long months pass
the ache in my heart is nearly unbearable,
I look at the image of your face
see the wrinkles around your laughing eyes
when you smile, I feel the beat of
your heart, the warmth of you near me
as our song plays on the breeze
moves in the grass like a silent arrow
to love land in the stars.

And I reach for you there, grasping the moon
with my mind to bind you there in the land of dreams,
and I will be there, I will be there for you.

Chill factor. Oh, God. Wonder what it is - I'll be watching our local forecast in about 1/2 hour.

LOL

A chill factor can be found
in the air and on the ground
it can enter into a room
with two legs and seem
to be a walking iceberg
in the scheme of things!

;>)

A Fairy Song

Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire!
I do wander everywhere,
Swifter than the moon's sphere;
And I serve the Fairy Queen,
To dew her orbs upon the green;
The cowslips tall her pensioners be;
In their gold coats spots you see;
Those be rubies, fairy favours;
In those freckles live their savours;
I must go seek some dewdrops here,
And hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear.

The cowslip was the clue for me.

An apple a day: A cedar waxwing gulps a wrinkled crabapple it flung into the air at the town hall in Freeport, Maine.
