My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

By all means pictures of everyday Thailand are in order. I have never seen any of it only through your eye.
Have a good walk and we'll see you later. ;)

Well I'm not leaving yet!!! It's only 10am, I was going to Freep a couple more hours. Plus I've been brushing off the software career. I must say that, while everything current now was still current three years ago when I left, there are some new fangled twists that I must study up on.
I'll need the current certifications to prove to employers that I'm up to speed, there's sort of an exaggerated idea that any break in the resume is a serious thing, so I have to do a little repair work. But the good news is, it feels like old times now when I punch up some software code, back when my growth needs finally outweighed my software work, whew, I felt like I could never look at software again, but now that's not the case. I'm actually getting excited about doing programming again. Maybe I had to wait till the new tools caught up with my interest level again.

Glad to hear you are looking forward to the software programming. Something that always will always be growing. Kinda job security thing. ;)

Yes, but you must keep fresh, and now I'm a little bit stale. Nothing I can't fix with a little effort, though.
I heard from my Indian friend who's still in Taiwan. I was a little worried flying off to weird India not being sure if he would hook me up or not, but he was very gracious and accommodating. Some Taiwanese friends came to visit him in India last year and he said he's contacting the same apartment service to set things up for when I get there.
And a friend of his is in the computer industry and he said he'd get in touch with him as well. Plus Kerala, the Indian state I'm going to, is now opening a new software center, to try and belatedly compete with Bangalore and Hyderabad, the two Indian leaders in software design. So maybe it will all work out splendidly well.
But I must say this is my last foreign adventure (I think), I am starting to think of the US a lot, or at least a more mature, and settled life. Maybe that will occur in India, at any rate, I'm glad I did all this over these last three years. I'm no where close to retirement age, but nevertheless, these adventurous years may well have been the "last gasp" of my youthful exuberance, before maturity sets in!!

Yippy! The
Progress Report on Iraq from last July is over 2300 views. I should stop checking that thing, but it keeps growing (sometimes with a little help from me), and is so far above the 400 it stalled at, that I wanted to share the news.
Here's a recent related article in the media.

Good news. Glad people are reading the good news.

You have had an adventurous life, something a lot of people never dare to dream about.
I think you'll head back to the states as your feet stop itching. ;)

My Christmas Gift To You
My gift isn't so much-it is really very small, but it is all that I have to give it is my all.
I love you at Christmas, in snowy, cold times in Summer's hottest sun, in shade, with cool drinks tall In Spring, when birds find their wings and with their voices sing I too, sing my song, upon those feathered plains. In the Fall, as the color of life changes in the leaves I am the same then, too, I give you my all.
The best that is me, is yours, like a bucket of gold That is the whole of me for you on this day of love.

Said Santa Claus
One winters night,
I really think its only right
That gifts should have a little say
Bout where theyll be on Christmas Day.
So then and there
He called the toys
Intended for good girls and boys,
And when theyd settled down to hear,
He made his plan for them quite clear.
These were his words:
Soon now, he said,
Youll all be speeding off with me
To being the Christmas joy and cheer
To little ones both far and near.
Heres my idea,
It seems but fair
That you should each one have a share
In choosing homes where you will stay
On and after Christmas Day.
Now the next weeks
Before we go
Over the miles of glistening snow
Find out the tots that you like best
And think much nicer than the rest.
The toys called out
Hurrah! Hurrah!
What fun to live always and play
With folks we choose theyll surely be
Selected very carefully.
So, children dear,
When you do see
Your toys in socks or on a tree,
Youll know in all the world twas you
They wanted to be given to.

Delighful poem, thanks much.
Just got back in from a little grocery shopping. Ugh, hate that job.
To: Soaring Feather
It may suck but your groceries are done for the time being.
Are you having a good weekend?
Can you guess what in winter looks cold and warm at the same time?
