Oh, and you can also put the heating grids under wood, though it needs to be engineered wood, because it is more stable than solid wood floors.

Roger that. Makes sense. Wood, though, doesn't even get so cold to the touch like stone or tile would. So in my case, even if the house cools off at night, the floor isn't that cold.
