What I don't have experience with is our own software. Which is mostly written in Lotus script

I'm not a programmer. I don't really want to be one. But considering no one seems able to explain anything to me without going to that level, I just feel like I'm absolutely and utterly brainless.

I am testing for some certs this year, but considering they're hardly used in my job, it seems kinda pointless.

And I can't find my #@%* bank card and such, so I guess I'm going nowhere tonight.

Well... I haven't done anything with Lotus script but you know, scripting languages in general aren't that hard. They don't have too many freaky weird concepts. You could absolutely pick up the basics on your own. Is there an O'Reilly book for Lotus script? They are the best I've found.

Programmers don't want ordinary folks to know how easy a lot of our stuff is :-)

I've been addicted to google Earth lately (I soooo love cheap entertainment) which is a great perspective-builder. As terrible as I think I have it, it could be seriesly worse. I could live in a thatch hut in Angola and trudge down to the river every day with a jar on my head, or a hovel in Libya or pretty much anywhere in the Islamic world, or a Yurt in Mongolia.

Though... Yurts are really cool.

Point is, life in the U.S. is good. Durn good. In spite of it all.
