Well... I haven't done anything with Lotus script but you know, scripting languages in general aren't that hard. They don't have too many freaky weird concepts. You could absolutely pick up the basics on your own. Is there an O'Reilly book for Lotus script? They are the best I've found.

Programmers don't want ordinary folks to know how easy a lot of our stuff is :-)

The worst of our stuff is that it's many, many generations of code piled on code, with stuff written on the fly when something doesn't work as it should. So when something goes wrong...it's usually because someone tinkered with the stuff and everything collapsed. And I can't troubleshoot what I don't understand. So I just get in the way.
